The huge problem inItaly was the total lack of a profesional trained army, resources, industry,tecnology....everything. Even France in the early days of the war was moreprepared than Italy forces, Germany lost a lot of time and resources to savethe Mussolini′s ass... in fact, Italy would be more usefull being a non belligerentcountry like Spain.

The Italians were notas bad as depicted. There was also some luck involved. The excellent ItalianNavy was taken by surprise by their own Pearl Harbor at Taranto. Note that theaircraft dropping the torpedoes, were British Bi_Planes. After that, theItalians , in fear of more of the same, scattered their ships all over so thatthe Allies couldn't sink them all at once. Considering how the war went, theymight as well have acted more boldly in cooperation with the Germans. Lack ofindustry and foresight caused them to not have an aircraft carrier which wouldhave made the Italian Navy a fearful threat. They were also slow in developingradar. To be fair, they also were used to fighting mostly land battles and didnot think strategically in the use of their Navy and Air Force which were useddefensively for the most part.

The Air Force waspretty well trained and did not consist of mostly Bi-planes. Certainly not anymore than the British. When the war started, the Italians had to go up againstBritish aircraft of equal obsolescence: the Hart bi-plane,Swordfish bi-plane, Fairey ALbacore bi-plane, Gloster Gladiator bi-plane, GlosterGauntlet bi-plane as well as some mono-planes like the Skua andFairey Battle that were not so great. The Hurricane was a decent aircraft butwas no better than the Italian Re 2000/2001/2002, Macchi 200/202, and Fiat G50, and Caproni F4 and F6. Like the Germans, the Italians had no heavy bombersbecause they were not planning to "rule the world". They were insteaddefending themselves from Communist take-overs from the Soviet unx or byproxy from near Communist Britain and the US.

The army was in badshape equipment wise. They needed a semi-automatic rifle. The artillery andanti-tank crews were excellent but were forced to use artillery ammunition fromWW1 which explains the low effectiveness of blasts. The guns themselves were good.The 47mm anti-tank gun was much better than the British 2 pounder and could beused as a light infantry field gun with it's decent High Explosive (HE) shell.The M13/40, M14/41, and M15/42 were better than the British "armouredcoffins" otherwise known as the A-9, A-10, A-13, and the early CrusaderA-15 1 and 2. British writers often poke fun of Italian tanks and how theybroke down so much that it was a marvel that any made it to the battlefield atall. But they don't mention that 4th Armoured Brigade literally destroyeditself with breakdowns retreating in April 1941 back to Egypt. Seriously. Noteven ONE tank remained due mostly to breakdowns and the fact that they were notas good as the Italian tanks in 1940 and 1941. Only the Matilda was better but wasconsidered a heavy tank for that time. Who makes Heavy tanks??? Those PLANNINGfor war. The Soviet unx (KV-1 and 2), Britain (Matilda), and France (Char B1and 2). The anti-aircraft gun being used against tanks was done by the Italiansin Africa. The 76Lmm and 90Lmm able to destroy a Matildawhich they did at Bardia and Tobruk in December of 1940. In fact theItalian 90Lmm Anti-aircraft gun being used as an anti-tank gun was a little bitBETTER than the German 88.

In Europe, the choicewas Communism or Fascism. I would have preferred Fascism. And most Communistleaders were Jews---which explains a lot about their suffering. Most books and"official" historical accounts were by British writers who were soobviously biased. They even detract from the legacy of the American soldier andminimize their contributions in battle while making themselves always soundgallant and great. My father, who fought in the AMerican Army called theBritish "Limey Bastards". He preferred the Germans. The Italians werenot ready for World War. But they didn't want Communism either. So the battlewas forced on them as it was on Germany when the International Jewish Committeedeclared social and economic war on Germany in March of 1933 and vowed todestroy them eventually. So they did the best that they could under thecircumstances. I could also show you quotes from German officers and evenRommel who praised their Italian Allies in many instances. The ItalianSemovente 75/40 and 90mm helped stop the Allies at Kasserine Pass in Tunisiaand in the defense of Italy. The Semovente self-propelled artillery/anti-tankgun could easily knock out American SHermans and often did just that.

In conclusion: theprimary reason the "Italians did so poorly" aside from not beingready for a World War with Communist forces in the Soviet unx, The BritishCommonwealth (controlled by Jewish Communist bankers), and the United States(also controlled by Jewish Communist bankers), having a small industrial base,having to import fuel, and having inadequate small-arms for their groundforces, was slanted, biased, fake-news history writing by the mostly Britishauthors.
