Well, obviously it has to be this flag.
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has got to be the most controversial topic today.
Now you might ask why is the Flag of Israel the controversial one and not the flag of Palestine.

I think it is because Israel currently has the upper hand in the conflict, which makes the Palestinians more sympathetic in the eyes of the international community. Whoever has the upper hand would have more responsibility and power to resolve the issue. There is no doubt that the Israeli side is winning when you look at how much of what was mandatory Palestine they control.
In addition, Israeli citizens are banned from entering most Muslim-majority countries.

The flag of Israel features the Star of David on it. Of course, the Muslim population is very opposed to this flag. In the Israeli Constitution, it states that “The State of Israel is a Jewish State and the National Home of the Jewish People, wherein the Jewish People fulfills its yearning for self-determination in accordance with its historical and cultural heritage”. It clearly states that Israel is for the Jewish people, and the Jewish people ONLY. The flag is an extension of that, as it flies the symbol of Judaism. The state of Israel in and of itself is controversial, so any symbol of Israel will be controversial.

The Vietnamese flag is also controversial, especially where there are large Vietnamese populations. The red communist flag is a symbol of oppression for the millions of refugees who fled the regime. In my home town of San Jose, the Vietnamese flag is BANNED and is forbidden to be flown. Of course, there is the argument that this clearly violates the First Amendment, and you can’t just refuse to fly the flag of an established, U.N recognized country on government buildings “because we don’t want to”. Nonetheless, it’s pretty controversial.
