Praveen S V, Student in NIT
Oh yes. Definitely, India is changing. An incident happened just 5 days ago, just proved my point.
A college girl in Andhra didn’t attend the college on a particular day, last week. It is a norm in her college, that if a student is absent on a particular day, his/her absence will be intimated to their parents via SMS.
The college girl’s parents got SMS informing about their daughter’s absence. When her parents asked about it, the college girl revealed that gruesome incident. Her botany lecturer Ramesh Naik had misbehaved with her by driving her to the outskirts of the town, tying her hands and legs, sexually assaulted her.
The angry parents marched towards the college attacked Ramesh and tied him to a tree and thrashed him badly. After beating him black and blue, they took him to a police station.
Ramesh pleaded innocence and requested the police administration to check with college administration if he was in college that day. The college administration, the faculties, friends and students of the college confirmed to police that Ramesh was indeed in college the day, the girl accused him of molesting her.
When police looked on to CCTV images, they saw Ramesh attending classes, sitting in the staff room and spending time in the office room, the same day he was accused by the girl of molesting her. Infact Ramesh did not leave the college, until the late evening.
When it was proved that the girl is lying, the girl admitted that she had gone out with a boy and lied. They released the lecturer.
The girl’s father after beating the innocent men black and blue after tied him to the tree, in repentance went to the college on Tuesday morning to apologise to the lecturer but was detained by angry lecturers and students.
(Source: Andhra Pradesh: CCTV footage saves innocent lecturer from disgrace )
I just don’t know whether the body of a man is this much cheap, that you can thrash him, just because a girl is accusing and later go on to apologizing him like, ‘Sorry I beat you in every part of your body since my girl falsely accused you, but right now, I came to know, you are innocent. So sorry’..Oh really?
The police later informed that they did not file any case against the college girl, considering her future.
Oh ya, the girl just tried to destroy the future of innocent men, just to spend a day with her boyfriend, but of course, great Indian law has no provision to arrest someone, who literally tried to destroy someone.
THANK GOD TO CCTV, In absence of CCTV, what would have happened?. This is just one single incident. Despite that, still, we have people saying, ‘Rape case acquitted doesn’t means, it is fake’.
As per NCRB’s 2016 data, more than 63% of the cases filed against men is fake. This 63% do not include cases that were acquitted because of lack of evidence. This is the exact scenario of Indian men. One fake 498 (A), you are done, doesn’t matter even if you are a saint.
The situation in India right now, is as same as the situation of France, after the French revolution. In the last century of India, women were denied justice and equality and at present, even the IPC hardly cares about men.
India is definitely changing. The role of offender and victim of the last century just got swapped.
(Edit: Any comment trying to justify the incident or giving analogy like, ‘But women are suffering more’ will be dexed. This ain’t the Olympics where we decide who suffers more. Some people telling that analogy every time, just to cover up the injustice being faced by men. Indian men are just denied justice, by IPC itself. Very simple)

Pravasi Meet
Yes India is definitely changing.
Pune: A 17-year-old girl has been booked for torturing and sexually abusing a 14-year-old boy in Kolhapur. The police has taken her into custody while the boy is receiving treatment to overcome his trauma.
The girl, a school dropout, would burn the boy’s private parts with an iron. She would also physically and verbally abuse him regularly.
An accountant employed in a private firm in central Delhi was abducted and murdered by his girlfriend after he threatened to punish her for having an affair with her employer. Police said on Saturday that the woman slipped sleeping pills in the man’s cold drink and then dumped his unconscious body into the Yamuna near Mathura with the help of a friend.
About three years ago a girl came home after becoming a daughter-in-law. But after some time the woman got into an illegal relationship with her father-in-law. And illegal relations increased so much that the woman killed her husband because of her lust.
Married woman faked her death in order to get married to her lover.
A married woman, whose husband had been booked for her alleged murder over dowry, was found alive and living with another man. After police arrested her, tracking her Facebook footprints and mobile use, she admitted before the local court that news about her death was a red herring and she had got married to the person she was living with.
According to police, Rubi , a resident of Safdarganj police station area of Barabanki, was married to Rahul, a resident of the same area, in January 2016. In June 2018, Rubi''''s father Hariprasad approached the local police to lodge a complaint that she was killed by her husband Rahul, father-in-law Ram Harsh and mother-in-law Barki for dowry. After investigation, police didn’t find the complaint convincing. So, Hariprasad approached a local court and on the court''''s order police had to lodge a case in July 2018.
"When Rubi''''s father approached us and accused his son-in-law of killing his daughter for dowry, we probed the matter, but couldn’t recover her body,” said Barabanki SP V P Srivastava. “But after the FIR was lodged on the court’s order, we again started our probe. After we came to know that her Facebook ID was active, we tracked her FB footprint for two months and put her phone on surveillance,” the SP told TOI. The police team soon got success when it came to know about her addresses in Delhi where she was residing with a person called Ramu.
A team was rushed to Delhi and the two were arrested. On Thursday, they admitted that she faked her death to get married to Ramu.
A senior citizen in Sushant Lok-3 was duped by a woman, who allegedly swapped her ATM card with his, and later withdrew ₹35,000 from the account lixed to his card, said the police.
Police said the woman on the pretext of offering the victim help in withdrawing cash from the teller machine, took his personal identification number (PIN), and swiftly handed him back a different ATM card.
The Punjab and Haryana High Court has acquitted a 55-year-old Sangrur teacher who was sentenced to life imprisonment by the district court in 2013 for raping a 14-year-old student.
“We are of the firm view that since accused was not present in village at or around the time of crime and was present with his wife at Railway Station at Sunam, therefore, he could not commit the crime at the time, as alleged by prosecutrix,” the division bench said in the judgment.
In the case registered in February 2013, the class VIII student had alleged that she was called by the teacher to his house for checking practicals of mathematics on December 31, 2012, and there she was raped by him. The accused, in his defence, said during the trial that he was not even present in the village when the crime is said to have occurred and was at the railway station in connection with reservation of tickets. He had also alleged he was implicated in the case due to political rivalry in the village.
While rejecting the prosecution argument that the railway forms for ticket reservation could have been signed by someone else, the division bench in the judgment said that since there was no case against the accused when the rape is alleged to have taken place, it is unlikely that he would attempt to create evidence. The case was registered 1 month and 13 days after the alleged rape had taken place.
The division bench also said that the tower location of the mobile number of the accused reveals he was around the Railway Station when the crime is alleged to have taken place. The principal of the school, where the teacher was posted, also confirmed that he had taken leave for the four days – the dates for which the tickets were booked – for the purpose of meeting his daughter in Bihar, who was studying the MBBS course there.
A 73-year-old ex-army man has been freed of the charges of allegedly raping his daughter-in-law, by a Delhi court which observed that the woman filed a false case against her father-in-law and “ridiculed him” by making him face the “ignominy of being a rape accused”.
“It is ironical to note that even an old and infirm father-in-law, a fatherly figure, has not been spared of the false rape accusations. The accused, who has already seen 73 summers of his life and had an unblemished career as an army man, had to face the ignominy and ridicule of being a rape accused,” the judge said.
The court also noted that “the accused has been falsely implicated by the woman merely on account of matrimonial dispute between her and her husband” who had filed a divorce case against her which is pending.
AURANGABAD: Almost a week after a 32-year-old man committed suicide by hanging, police have booked his wife and and in-laws on charges of abatement of suicide.
As per the complaint lodged by 70-year old Machindra, father of the deceased, his son was a worker with a private company. He was perturbed as each month his wife would take away all his salary and spend it as per her will. Hence, his son was under tremendous pressure and ended up committing suicide.
MUMBAI: Harassed by his wife and her lover with their intimate photographs, a 44-year-old Virar man allegedly hanged himself.
When Santosh learnt about the affair he confronted his wife. She left their Virar home but began harassing the victim. According to the complainant, Santosh''''s wife would send him intimate pictures of her and her lover on his cellphone. She would even harass him for money and refused to divorce him.
I can write about more real incidents which are happening in our country India but I think I should stop here.
India is definitely changing because,
· To uphold woman and her rights, we have absolutely forgotten man and his rights.
· Most of the people are talking about woman empowerment but what about men empowerment ?
· Government of India keeps creating new laws for the protection of women but how many laws are there to protect an innocent Indian men and his family ?
· Anti dowry law is applicable only to groom and his parents because dowry is criminal offense in India. But law also explicitly says that even giving dowry is also crime. But how many times woman and her parents have been booked because they gave dowry to husband’s family? If you did give dowry then you are also equal partner in crime.
· Woman can falsely implicate innocent men in false dowry/rape/molestation case and even if it will be proved that accusations were baseless and false, she will not be punished slightly at all most of the times for misusing the laws and destroying life of an innocent man.
· Many people in India often say that ( Girls aren’t less than boys ). This statement is completely true also when it comes to commit the serious crime. Many Indian girls and women are giving tough competition to Indian man in this regard. Seriously.
Crime and criminal has no gender. Girls and women can also have criminal tendency ( Not necessarily every girl and women ). Woman can’t always be considered innocent victim. How easy it is for a women to play victim card in India ?
Be extremely extremely careful guys … !!!

Harsh Chauhan, Proud Indian
No. There are thousands of answers for this question all are saying Yes. I think I am the first one who is saying No.
One thing, I am not talking about swachh bharat, Bullet trains, Mom mission which is very cheaper than any other missions, ISRO, IIT''''ians who got a package of 1 crore+ in a reputed MNC. I am just talking about normal people from India.
· In India if you are ready to marry a rape victim, then your parents will not accept that. They will say that "we want some good character girl as our daughter in law". They don''''t know the difference between a whore (no offence) and rape victim. Rapists? No! No one gives a fuck about rapists.
· India is a country where an IAS officer gets a dowry of 1 crore but do you know how did he clear the IAS exam ? By writing a good essay about "How dowry is considered as a criminal act".
· If you are going to USA for MS then people will say you''''re not patriotic. Exploring the world and Exploring different opportunities, there is nothing wrong with that.
· If you said that you believe Misogamy and you are not going to marry anyone, then people (Indians) will think you are not fit for sex.
· Indian parents are ready to spend 30 Lakhs for daughter’s marriage, but they don''''t have 5 Lakhs for their daughter''''s education.
· If any couple gets divorced and if the guy marries another woman then society will accept that, but if the girl marries another guy then society will not accept it, she called as a bitch. (Generally)
· India is changing, it has changed quite a lot, people will oppose Sunny leone in Sita’s character in a movie. But 90% of the traffic on adult websites comes from India. I am not telling that watching adult websites is wrong, but Sunny Leone in Sita’s character is not wrong either. (just a logic!)
· If you are HIV positive, then people will say you are a bitch, you don''''t have the right to live in the society.
· For Indians, rapes are quite common. Just after a year of delhi rape case, 6 year old girl gets raped in Bangalore. Pathetic :( :( Indians are very busy praising Modi and trolling Rahul Gandhi on facebook, they don''''t have time to see things happening in front of them.
· If you say you are an Atheist, then people (Indians) are like "What the Fuck".
· “Selfie maine leli aaj” , total number of views is approximately 16Million. But “Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam biography” in Hindi By Gulzar Saab, total number of views is approximately 1.2 Million.
· Bollywood makes bio-pics on “MS. DHONI” , “SACHIN”, “AZHAR” (rather you can say on cricketers). Hollywood makes bio-pics like “The Man Who Knew Infinity.” “Judwaa 2” , “Tiger zinda hai” was a massive superhit but movies like Masaan, Newton releases, no one gives a fuck.
· Education system and Indian Parents logic, “Degree nahi to naukri nahi.” (Translation : No degree, so no job.). But according to some well known companies , “Google’s chairman and head of hiring, Laszlo Bock, has given a few insights in the New York Times on how he sorts through a multitude of bright applicants. The upshot is that Google values the skills and experiences that candidates get in college, but a degree doesn’t tell them much about talent or grit.” (Certificates = ability) (If you have talent, but don''''t have degrees, you are waste piece of shit.)
· Before, Champions Trophy Final 2017, “Virat Kohli” is the best captain ever. After final, “Virat Kohli” is the worst captain ever.
· Patriotism rises only on occasions like a cricket match. Other days, we are busy polluting our country.
· Uploading selfies with Mom and dad on Mother’s and Father''''s day respectively on social media instead of spending time with them.
· A blx of a girl (Priya Prakash) took the whole country''''s attention, but that same day six army officer martyred, no one gave fuck about it.
· You can''''t get proper education, job etc. Why? Because you are from General Category.
· NATIONALISM : Teaches you to take the pride in shit you haven''''t done & hate people you have never met
P. S. - dexed my previous answer as people were stating it fake/copied story.
So maybe, you may find irrelevant comments. Apologies.

Naman Chakraborty, Regular Indian
As a middle class Indian, growing up in the eighties, I got used to waiting.
We had to go to the Post Office and wait for hours in a line, on sunday evenings, so that my mom could speak to her mom for 1–2 minutes at cheaper rates.
We had to wait for weeks for our grandma to write back. Those blue envelopes had a couple of lines written meticulously, on the seams, in small handwriting, just for us. We of course always responded on a full scape paper with our own art work and unintelligible gibberish.
Sometimes, those letters had the smell of turmeric, sometimes, a post-card had a stain of tea - sometimes, the ink had spread in a circle, telling us kids that our mom was missing her mom :)
We waited for months, before the government allotted a ‘permit’ to my father, allowing us to buy a ‘black-n-white’ television.
That television had just one channel, which used to show half a movie on weekends - yes, we had to then wait for 7 days before Sridevi could take her revenge from Amreesh Puri.
I remember, how we rejoiced, when we got a telephone connection at home after just 12 months of waiting, it was a miracle.
I still remember that day when a neighbour uncle came to our place with a box of sweets. He’d finally booked a Bajaj Chetak - He was expecting the delivery of the scooter to coincide with my friend’s wedding - she was in class 2 then, just like me.
As a teenager, I was so done waiting to play video games, that I wrote my own code for a Car Racing game just like Road Runner, in Basic[1]. The code was full of bugs, and to my pleasant surprise, our computer teacher in the school, gave me a print out of my code to help me debug. That day, I couldn’t stop ‘showing off’ those print-outs to everyone in the class…:)
I also remember tears of joy coming out of my eyes, when I finally got my passport after 6 months of jumping from pillar to pan stained posts of police stations, commissioner’s office, and the Passport Bhavan - it was my first experience of dealing with government employees. The Passport had misspelt ‘Bangalore’ - but I was happy.
We’ve sure have come a long way since then.
Recently, there was a payment refund of ours, pending in a government department. I wrote an email, and was surprised to get a reply (not those automated ones, but a real reply) within an hour. We even got our cheque delivered to our office in the same week - All this, without me leaving my office, making a phone call or greasing a palm. It was a miracle again.
India is changing, slowly but surely.
