It's because our CDC and other health officials told us that masks won't protect us, so don't buy them. They said we need them to protect the health care workers from getting infected! So, they were saying they work on health care workers, but not other people. And people were actually believing it!

No one in america takes this seriously and quarantine will likely last all the way till july because of people like you.

I wear a mask here in Finland and people look at me like I'm a crazy person. But it works to my advantage, no chance of getting sick since people instantly get far away from me when I wear it. :D

Unless you wear an N95, KN95 or something similar and find a way to sterilize it each time you use it, it may be dangerous. A regular surgical mask only helps prevent you from infecting others mostly

Because there are intense wild fires in California in the summers, many Californians had to wear masks to protect ourselves from toxic air quality. The transition of wearing masks during wild fires into wearing them during pandemic is not as difficult, at least for me and my family.
