So, I thought it's no big deal. But then after sometime it became worst. Flank pains, prolonged periods, hormonal acne, mood swings, etc started hitting me.
Then, finally after 1.5 years I realized the severity of the situation and took it seriously.
And with change in my lifestyle and diet and successfully lost 15 kgs of weight in 4 months. I was 90 kgs back then and now I am 75kgs. Still want to loose 8 kgs more to reach my ideal weight.
I can't stress enough the importance of detox drink on empty stomach. I started taking lukewarm lemon-water with cinnamon powder in it. It tastes good, don't worry. Cinnamon helps in reducing the belly fat.
After 10 mins I eat 5–7 soaked almonds and walnuts. It helps with PCOS.

Replace your dinner with some sort of sprouts chaat. Make it tasty, boiled sprouts with chopped onions and tomato, chaat masala, dash of lemon tastes awesome.
I ate rice only once in a week.
No sugar. No desserts.
4–5 litres of water.
Daily walking for 45–60 mins, helped a lot.
Diet plays main role.
But, no matter what people tell you, how much others motivate you, you can't do it unless you yourself want it. Self realization is the key.

Sometimes, it's okay to cheat (wink,wink) yes, you can have a small bite of your fav cake, you can have a slice of pizza, just make sure to control your portions.
Don't let people tell you otherwise that 'O, you can't eat your fav food or you can't eat this or that'. I must tell you that people are least bothered about your health, so just ignore them.

So when I was diagnosed with PCOD, my doctor made it very clear that the only solution is weight reduction.
So coming to your question to how you can lose weight faster, here are a few points
Say no to oil, sugar, potato
Drink Atleast 12–15 glasses of water a day
Do not starve yourself, but on the other hand count calories.
Exercise twice a day.

I will tell you what routine I followed
I woke up till 6:30 and begin my day with drinking a cup of warm water. After freshing up have a cup of lemonade in warm water and start with your exercises. Workout for Atleast 30 mins. After your workout have 2–3 glasses of water. Try eating something heavy in breakfast yet non-oily. Ex: poha, sprouts, salads, fruits. You have to eat Atleast one fruit in a day. In lunch reduce the number of chapattis and increase the quantity of lentils instead. Fill your half plate with salads. Then have a evening snack, preferably a fruit or nuts with green tea. You can have any green tea of your choice. After an hour of the evening snack again exercise for Atleast 30 mins. And have another 2–3 cups of water
The next step is the key to weight reduction. You have to eat your dinner till 7–7:30 and not delay it more than that. Have a light dinner with more salads. After dinner take a 15–20 mins walk and try to sleep till 10. As it is equally important to have 8 hours of sleep.
