@Johari Endan Malaysians are paid less in Sg because their employers have to pay extra levy to the government. So in the end, the amount that an employer pays for local and foreigner is almost the same. In fact, foreigner can be more expensive after including other expenses... but I'd say in general Malaysian workers are more hardworking and stay longer in the company at least in F&B

LKY Govt stored American bombs nearby scaring all Malay residents. The bombs were for America during the Vietnam war.

@Johari Endan , do you know malays that decided to in singapore during the seperation have better government support in terms of education and etc...but those chinese decided to back to malaysia were treated as second class citizen which is a fact and also in singapore as long you are capable and rich you can buy property not limited to skin color and race but in malaysia is another story.

I disagree with your view that Malaysia would be "Chinessia". My hypothesis is that Malaysia will be a very wealthy country on par with the current America / China as one of the top economies of the world if LKY became PM.

@Johari Endan bullshit! the malays were never expelled! my late grandparents were originally from Indonesia. they came to SG in the 1950s. when SG was separated from MY in 1965. the SG govts did all they can to convince the SG malays and my late grandparents to stay. and i can never thank my late grandparents enough for their wise decision.

Lol. Remember that Singapore was the main city of Malaysia before the exit. All the developments and investments was focus on that city (country). Singapore already developed even before exit. On the other hand, after Singapore quit, Malaysia chose Kuala Lumpur.

I wonder if the author of this video has been to Malaysia and Singapore. What cannot be disputed is that both countries have nade significant progress in the last 50 years. However, Singapore has progressed way beyond Malaysia. At the point of separation in 1965, Malaysia had most of the ingredients to grow and prosper i.e. land, resources such as rubber, tin mines, later on palm oil and petroleum etc. Yet, it was Singapore that pushed ahead, becoming a high income country, ranking 7th in the world on a GDP per capita (nominal) basis in 2020. Innovation, meritocracy and a culture that rewards hard wiork counts for more than resources.

Malaysia Human Development Index is in Very High group, 810.
