How to overcome a depression and what are the difficulties?
When a person is in a depression, which I experienced first hand. My father was a lot of times depressed over his life, what ended in a suicide.
A depression for him could last over periods of about 3 or 4 months. Then there was a little progress and after a few months he got stuck in the same depression again. Sadly I did not know then, on an age between 10 and 20 when it happened, what I know now. Bear with me and let me share the solution with you.

What is a depression?
A depression is a negative emotion and feels bad. Every negative emotion is based on the formulated negative thoughts. When you keep formulating negative thoughts over a longer period, you are called depressed, it also equals to a pessimist. A pessimist is someone who formulates all the time negative thoughts instead of positive thoughts.
All negative thoughts, will create negative emotions and bad feelings.
All positive thoughts, will create positive emotions and great feelings.
How you feel is just a result of the thoughts you are formulating consciously (in the present moment), or subconsciously (thoughts you have been formulating in the past and added them to your believe system).

What is the definition of a positive thought?
A positive thoughts is good for you AND good for all people on the world AND good for Nature. Thoughts which are not good for you or others or nature are not positive thoughts, but negative thoughts.
Many of you will not use this definition to create their thoughts, that is the only reason why you experience negative emotions in your life and have bad feelings. Try it, research it and see it for yourself when you don’t believe me.
Neither a negative person nor a negative situation can ever make you feel bad. You are the one that formulates your thoughts, so you are always responsible how you feel.
Many people don’t see this causality between thoughts, emotions and feelings. When you master your thoughts, you master your feelings. That is what enlightenment is all about.
What makes it difficult for many people to stop this depression?
When you experiencing a negative experience in your life, you have a choice to formulate a positive or a negative thought. Do you bring the negative experience into the right positive context or not?
Many people formulate thoughts what is so called appropriate to form at a situation. When someone steals from you, yells at you, treats you unfair, is unreasonable in your eyes, when you can’t pay the bills, get fired, etc. Then they automatically form thoughts which were stored in the subconscious. It is appropriate to feel bad. That is a “”normal” reaction for many of you.
When someone addresses you negatively or a situation gives you a negative experience, you can reply with positive thoughts or negative thoughts. This is the difference, having a negative or a positive attitude, the difference between an optimist and a pessimist, and even a difference between being depressed or happy.

He or she does not know that formulating positive thoughts, will stop this negative spiral of doom thinking. It is an endless loop, that can end in suicide. What I have experienced at an age of twenty. Perhaps this can save some parents to choose differently in life.
The first question for a depressed person is
do you want to feel happy or bad?
When you want to feel bad, I can’t help you. I will ask you tomorrow again.
When you desire to feel good, I can help you.
The second question is do you think, you focus on positive or negative thoughts?
When you focus in your life on what you do not like, what you do not have, what you cannot do, what you are not, what you hate, what you get irritated or angry, what you despise, what you hate, etc. You are constantly formulating answers on these questions, which are negative thoughts.
You are looking at the glass half empty instead of the glass being half full. Negative thoughts create negative emotions, so this person has formulated negative thoughts. When you repeat these negative thoughts over and over again in your thoughts, or talking about them, then the negative thoughts will be connected by the synapses in your brain to your believe system. Just by repeating and focusing on them.
Ask a depressive person to take a paper and pen and write down, everything what is in his or her mind, why does he or she feel bad? write down all the thoughts that is in this persons mind, what pops up in his or her mind.

WHY DO YOU FEEL BAD?
The thoughts can be different, don’t worry about that. Just put as many as you can find on paper. It will become clear soon.
Life sucks.
My partner is very bad for me or I will never find a right partner for me, my partner does not respect me, does not love me, etc.
I have no possibilities to find work.
I have studied the wrong profession an now I have to suffer for it
I am not smart enough, I am not good enough, I am not handsome or pretty enough, etc.
I can’t pay the bills, I get all the time people who want money from me, and I don’t know what to do. Life sucks.
I am so tired of this life, always problems and it never works out for me on a good way.
I wish I would be dead to forget all those sorrows. Or I take alcohol or drugs to relief the pain. Afterwards I feel bad about that too.
My life will never change, it is one terrible life. I just did it wrong and others did … this or that…. I wished I could do it over again.
That idiot on the Internet thinks, that I can choose to feel good. When my life is shit, I feel shit. That is logic.
I have this terminal disease, there is no hope for me left. I will die.
I have lost my loved one partner/child, parents, I can’t be happy anymore. Why can’t they be here, why did it happen, It’s terrible.
etc.
When a depressed person is willing to look at the thoughts he or she has formulated and believe to be true, then it reveals the negative thoughts. Always and with no exception. When we know what thoughts that person has formulated in a negative context, we are able to find the opposite. Use humor to make the exercise into a game.

THERE IS ONLY ONE EXERCISE LEFT. … To solve your depression or any other negative emotion which is bothering you.
This second exercise is a GAME. To transform above thoughts into the real opposite thoughts, the opposite thoughts are the positive thoughts, which are good for you AND others. You take the same thoughts of your list, and transform them one by one. When a positive remark comes in your head, just add them too. Just see it as a game, not worrying about what is reality for you or not. We treat this below this exercise, just find the opposite thoughts of a crazy, super optimistically positive person.
I just give the example to let you see how you can help a depressive person or yourself. Again, don’t mind about the thoughts, or when they differ, that is not the issue. Get to know yourself.
Positive thoughts and positive remarks, the positive optimist would have formulated:
Life is wonderful.
What I like about my partner is….. I desire to find a positive partner who is like….. my partner respects me and loves me very much.
I have many possibilities to find work.
I have studied a nice profession, I can have a choice to do something with it, or even to take this change to choose another direction. I heard they are searching people for…….
I will look at jobs in newspapers and the Internet, I will find something what I really love to do. Otherwise I search for someone who can help me to get into a nice new direction.
I am smart enough, I am good enough, I am handsome or pretty enough, etc. I am who I am, and love myself very much, just like I love all other people around me unconditionally.
I can pay the bills, I will arrange a way to get my finance in order, I will ask for help. I know what to do. Life is wonderful.
Obstacles are there in life to learn from to choose positive thoughts instead of negative thoughts. Besides that life feels lighter and much more happier to me. Great.
I am starting to see a point in life. To win by overcoming the obstacles in life. This makes me stronger, wiser and more positive. It will work out for me on a good way.
Every one dies one day, as long as I am here I will do my best and that is all I can. When I take alcohol or drugs I don’t solve the problem, I increase the problem. Let me forget about alcohol and drugs and face the challenges in life.
I will feel so good, when I will overcome this situation.
My life will change for the better, it is going to be a good life. I have to focus on what I can, I am, I have, I desire, and focus what others have for positive thoughts about me or even can help me.
I should ask people for help. Some won’t but there are always people who like to help me. I will find them. I just have to do a little effort and keep positive thoughts in my mind and keep it up.
That person on the Internet thinks differently, perhaps I should try it. I have nothing to loose. When I manage my thoughts, I manage my feelings. That is something I certainly want to learn. When my life is shit, I can only make it better. Sounds much better.
I have this terminal disease. I have to accept it like it is and make the best of it. Everyone dies one time, I will leave this over to God. I know that when I focus on positive thoughts, being happy and enjoying life, perhaps I will get some nice surprises in my life.
When I have to die, I can choose to be happy in the meanwhile and enjoy the time I still have. I think it is better for a sick person to try to be happy and enjoy life, this is better than the opposite attitude.
I have lost my loved one partner/child, parents, I can be happy and enjoy life. It is just a choice. I have to accept that it happened to me.
I should focus on the good times we had together in the past. I send them my love, gratitude and happiness every day. I know they want me to be happy on this moment, just what I would like when I passed over (died) in their place.

No more exercises, happy. The biggest part has been done. Not finished, we come to this below.
First have a look at the two lists, we have created. You can literally see why the first list makes you depressed and why the second one with positive thoughts does not. There is a huge difference in thoughts you chose to believe. Which causes the huge difference between a depressed person and a happy optimist.

What is reality?
Is reality to look around in life and put everything in a negative perspective, or see what is going on and put it in the right positive perspective.
Are you a person that embraces, avoids, hide, and justify negativity, because you don’t want to do the effort to change?
Or do you like to be happy, optimistic and enjoying your life. Even when some negative persons or negative situations comes along. Don’t give a huge weight to them, by formulating them into a negative perspective. When you put the negative persons and negative situations in your life into the right positive context life will become much more lighter, happier and more fun.
Last part.
When you think negative and desire to think positive, how can we make this into a reality. How can we forget the negative thoughts, and really believe the pure positive thoughts? That is the question and not difficult.
Which list makes you feel great, the positive list. Right. It is logical, I don’t have to be psychic to know that.
When you repeat thoughts by thinking, watching, reading, communicating about them, you will create synapses in your brain to connect these thoughts to your subconscious mind.
When you have a thoughts made from words - visualized images or real images - feelings - values about the thoughts, they all will be connected by the synapses in your brain to your believe system.
When you tell yourself every day I am ugly, I am stupid, etc. Than a synapse will be created this thoughts to your believe system. You will start to really believe this is true.
A depressed person really believes he or she makes the right thoughts, which are logical in that situation the person is in. We have proven that you can think in the same situation differently. Think about that for a while.
When you keep on formulating negative thoughts, you stimulate the synapses in your brain which connects the negative thoughts to your believe system. How more you do this, how more negative you become.
When you change your focus unto the positivity and the list of positive thoughts and repeat them over and over again. Feel the words, visualize as if you are already in this state, feel how good it feels, choose to be positive in this way. After a while you create synapses that connect the positive thoughts with your believe system. It is just like learning a history statement. It is programming your subconscious mind or just learning.
What you focus on positive or negative, is what you will become.
Positive thoughts, create positive emotions and feel great.
Negative thoughts, create negative emotions and feel bad.
Not a very difficult choice, is it?
Most people think they know it all, still they are not happy, they are not in balance, and they are constantly experiencing negative emotions. How ever negative emotion is a signal as a guidance to tell you that you think something that is not good for you.
This is the way to go from being a depressed person, unto becoming a very optimistic and positive person. Remember when you have to walk a path in life with obstacles, you can enjoy it by choosing positive thoughts.
However when you are positive and smiling even in negative circumstances. It is more likely you attract that desired partner, to get that desired job, to get that help you need, etc.
Life is just a choice.

什么是现实?
现实是用消极的眼光看待生活中的一切,还是用积极的眼光看待正在发生的事情。
