I have to say, almost every single Thai person I've met are extremely polite, friendly and even the way they talk is so mellow, fluid, beautiful and just... peaceful? Maybe that's why more transwomen feel safe enough to be out and about.

Thailand and cuba imo had the best attitude. Here in the west the LGBTQ agenda is loud, obnoxious and everywhere it doesnt belong. Meanwhile, youd be hard pressed to find a transgender. working behind the counter. But in Thailand this is daily reality, and its just not a big deal. Noone shouting for, noone shouting against. It's just not that hard to let people be themselves it seems ??Also seems like the transgender ladyboys are way happier than genderconfused people in the west, often opting for sex change surgeries instead of embracing themselves as a ladyboy, and suffering from mental health problems still afterwards with an alarmingly high %, as well as in suicide rates. I really think the thai got it right and they just chill. Respect

The reason the LGBT community is loud in the west is because westerners aren’t nearly as good at minding their own business as Thai people are and so this is a reaction to decades of vitriol against their communities where the only way to get anything is to fight aggressively for it. At the same time all this noise has resulted in meaningful legal changes in the west which have greatly helped LGBT people over the decades. This is not the case in Thailand where Ladyboys cannot legally marry their husbands, can’t adopt, can be barred for being trans from private businesses and many other quality of life quality of life issues. Thailand is the world leader in sex change surgery. Doing as much as the rest of the world combined. Many Ladyboys in Thailand get surgery also. Satisfaction rates are about the same everywhere. There are plenty of mental health problems in the trans community in Thailand as well. These usually come down to difficult family, economic and social histories and are often intertwined with substance abuse. You’re just simply less likely to hear about these Thai stories in English. My wife is a Thai Ladyboy. We’ve been together for 20 years both in California and in Thailand and I know many LGBT people in Thailand and the west. Happy to answer any questions you have.

Ofcourse the overall higher rate of obnoxiousness in the west should definitely be taken into account in this matter, and I didn't look at it like this before. I'm still not on board with the 'in your face' promotion of LGBTQ as a reaction, but I kind of get it. My problem is that with this intense pressure on my opinions on the matter( which are that I don't care in the slightest about what someone wears or does in the bedroom ) these opinions seem to become unnatural, unauthentic.

“Transgender woman” is inherently ambiguous terminology (as intended). Is “woman” the source or the “end product”? The classic terms “Female Impersonator” or “Male Transvestite” by contrast are instantly understood (also as intended).
The intentional ambiguity becomes so profound that the simple question: “What is a woman?” becomes “a profound conundrum wrapped in an enigma” for the “so called” educated.
Of course if one realizes that the actual obxtive is the Orwellian destruction of language for political gain, then clarity is restored once again. The battle is for the language itself, for without precise language, the possibility of expressing abstract thought is lost.

A lot of this anti trans sentiment being stirred up is political in the US, just like gay marriage was in the 2000s. It was a winning issue for conservatives until it wasn’t and now conservatives never talk about it. Funny that.

I'm Thai, there is certainly a degree of discrimination on trans people, although it's subtle enough to not see if you were foreigners, however, compare to a lot of countries, i find it pretty mild.
There are rooms for improvement but i can also say it's much less hostile than many places.

What i would like to know is two things: are these transgender demanding that heterosexual people date them and are they pushing for children transitioning or is reserved for adults only.
