Fortunately there are many parks around the Gatineau-Ottawa area when I live in, and I can see hawks, cardinals and other birds just in my neighborhood. Thanks Katherine - wonderful scenery -especially up high. I did get into the mountains when visiting Chengdu, mostly north and northwest, but i was following the traditional tourist routes and I saw no monkeys so this video came as a little delight for me!!

Totally agree with you, Kathy. I also envy Ian gets to do his research in the wilderness, because I also completed my 5-year grad school in a chemistry lab, and then spent most of my professional life in chemistry labs with all the unpleasant chemical smells. .... what a bad choice.

Only sounds of birds and leaves and air. I have a vlog suggestion for you: if possible, please make a proper vlog on a Chinese government school in a rural area. We would love to see how they are, how developed they are, the infrastructure, the routine, the students. I'm sure there would be many (like me) who would be interested in it. Your commentary would do rest of the magic. That would be something totally different in your channel.
