Los Angeles is completely overrated.
I’m not just saying that because I lived there for almost ten years.
It’s dirty, superficial, and obsessed with physical beauty. The traffic sucks. People are always looking to capitalize off of the weak. Homeless people are everywhere; the city does close to nothing to help the less fortunate.
In Downtown, above Skid Row, are some of the most beautiful, expensive high rise skyscrapers in the world. Talk about irony.
Los Angeles has great restaurants, a diverse population, and plenty of people to talk to.
But, its downfall is the complete disregard for others, and the idea that you need to make as much money as possible to even be considered important.
Every city has its problems, but my issue with Los Angeles is that from the outside, it''s made to seem like paradise, when in reality, it''s crumbling around its people.

Dubai, I am afraid. Very expensive and mainly revolves around wallet-emptying in malls. Beaches are good but, for tourists, limited to hotel beaches. A trip up the Burj Khalifa is not always the fun it should be because of the dusty haze, the other tourists who ''hog'' window space until their entire tribe has been photographed. Deira Souk is full of goods made in Pakistan and India, not the local area and the nearby heritage area is a tiny representation of old culture. To try and persuade you you are in the UAE they take you out to the desert in 4WDs for a bit of dune driving, camel riding and a so-called Bedouin feast with belly dancing. The latter is not part of the local culture. Tourists think Dubai represents the UAE, which is very far from the truth. To get that, hire a 4WD, get a book about off-road routes and head for the wadis of the eastern mountains or camp at the fantastic Al Dhafra Camel Festival held in December. No, not the one day pat-a-camel version either. Camp under the stars and wake to caravans of camels crossing the sands and experience a real Emirati welcome. Some of the most beautiful, untouristed beaches abound just over the border in Musandam Oman but that''s a pretty well-kept secret.
I''ve been to many places. I found American cities missed the mark and, like Dubai, the real America begins in small places tourists tend not to go for. But that is the case almost everywhere: London is far from a representation of Britain as it is possible to get. Even the Queen spends most of her time away from it!

We might have heard about lot of tourist places across the world and many of them are in Europe. I am fortunate enough to visit some of the places in Europe like Venice, Paris, Rome, Netherlands etc. All these places are really awesome, but there are few places which I felt that they over rated than they really are.
And the first one among it is Pisa, Italy. I am not saying that this is not a good place, but I am only saying that it is not worth the publicity it has got. It is just a small town like any other European town. It has nothing much to see except the Leaning tower. People say that it is one of the wonders of the world, but there is nothing much worth of it. Of course the town is beautiful, but much more hype was created than it really is . Also, basically because of some engineering flaw the foundation of the tower goes into the ground because of which the tower is tilted a bit. And the tower is not so tall, much smaller than a usual cell tower. There are hell lot of places which are wonderful structures and marvelous examples of architecture in India itself but many people don''t even know the names.
There are few other places like this, but this I felt is most over rated place.
