Indeed. The bullshit fairy is very cruel. I am Australian and work in a university in Thailand. These are two countries that have handled the Covid plague quite well especially compared to the USA & Britain. One cultural thing of both countries is that they do not believe their own propaganda.

They had an excellent instruments and they deserve their place on top, but they didn’t use it.

I beg to disagree…when you have health workers at the Frontline using nylon as PPEs there is no way you can justify the US having”excellent” anti-pandemic systems. People were dying like chickens on the street, in some cases with no one to bury them…There was face mask shortages to the extent even orders made for other countries were snatched by US. Bros forget it, what we''ve seen during that time was nothing short of the realities in America. What I like about the US is the way and manner they will tweak events, you might be shock later after ten years to see publications trying to justify everything that happened during that time.

In a recent video, they say that at the start of the epidemic, family members back home in the US were begging them to come back. They’d only been in China for a year at that point. They said their guy said it’d be safer to stay…and they’re happy with their decision. They can pretty much do whatever they want because COVID’s controlled. In fact, 600 million Chinese people traveled during the 8-day Golden Week holiday in October, with nary an issue after that. Business is another area where China will never make it on these lists, but then you have thousands of Western expats in Shanghai, Shenzhen, etc. setting up everything from tech firms to craft breweries.

US, UK, Netherlands and Sweden did crap in real conditions. Canada also didn’t do very well for being in the top 5 of the list.
Also China, Vietnam, Cambotia, Cuba and New Zealand (as well as some more countries in East/Southeast Asia) performed stelarly in real conditions but their absence on the top of the list is glaring.
This list is just indefensible. Either the people creating it didn’t have a clue, therefore they are totaly inept and possible liable for fraud or the ratings are politicaly motivated therefore the list is a piece of propaganda.
Whatever the reason, it makes one wonder hard what other lists and analyses that we take as accurate are pieces of garbage way off reality?
It’s really an eye opener.
