I really admired the Chinese that their cities and towns are so neat, well maintained, clean and organized. While our Delhi is in a mess, full of garbage, filthy, and slums still existed. We must put down our ego and learn the good thing from other countries no matter they from west or east. We should go out from our tiny well.

Max, you don't know how much it means to me to see these formerly impoverished villages doing so well to feed, clothe, educate and house the people living there. When I grew up in Canada over the last 55 years, my parents and I use to admire Americans, because everything seemed better in the USA. Now in US cities, even rich ones, I see homeless people defecating in the streets, begging or stealing and living in dirty and run down inner cities. I am talking about rich places like San Francisco! In the last 40 years, the poor in America have not improved their situation but have gotten worse. I agree as a Canadian Chinese myself. If Canada didn't have rich Chinese immigrants and visa students feeding its economy and having a military like the US, Canada would of fared much worse than the US.
Canada should also stop being a lap dog of the USA because it's leading us to doom.

@Steve L , I really hope so. But, people mindset have to change first. We debated and talked a lot, but didn't really work hard. We liked to get credits for every achievement, but looked for scapegoats for the mistakes. There were so many people especially the youngsters are brainwashed by the medias and politicians that everything in India was world-class, so education was a problem. The worst was the whole country is corrupted from the top to the bottom, you cannot do anything without bribe. So sad and depression

It's so nice to see that rural China is also making progress and not left behind. Even here, the streets are clean and organised, and the river is not a waste dump. I hope China can steadily bring affluence to its rural communities with a balanced economy. It's a challenge even for developed countries.
