Do not try to get a date with passenger. To my middle-eastern compatriots, a single woman travelling alone in Canada is not immodest or loose. Not racist just the result of many discussions with irked women. Different places, different customs. Adapt or get a low rating. I tell every woman who has this happen to rate 1 star and explain to Uber/Lyft. It is in my best interest to reduce the number of drivers. Sorry, but other drivers are your competition.

This was 20+ minutes and 5+ miles of driving since he finally came out. The end of the story was Uber says “our cancellation policy is transparent” no cancellation fee for me.

It's all relative to what you make of it. If you treat it like a job and show up to work your shift, you just will make as much as if you treat it like a professional business. If you remain professional in attitude at all times, your customers will appreciate you more. You can work in comfortable and suitable clothes and find suitable passengers for your ride and keep your vehicle clean, smelling nice, and inviting for passengers. Keep your own eating and drinking within the vehicle to a minimum. If you must have a drink, such as coffee, drink it outside of the car or at least when you have no passengers.I recommend drinking only mineral water or pure water in a cup when riding with passengers. You will score higher on the reviews by following tips like that.
