A lot of chefs and restaurant owners think they're hot shit and become absolute megalomaniacs, and decades of these kinds of stunts from famous chefs just reinforces their belief that it's okay to treat their employees that way.

That said if you watch some of the shows where he works with kids or is more educational and supportive he is awesome.

Not a fan. I know people use Masterchef Jr as evidence he's actually nice but that doesn't negate the fact that no human being deserves to be treated the way he treats people in his other shows. I've worked in a restaurant kitchen and while the executive chef did shout about customers he never abused his staff the way Gordon Ramsey verbally abuses those around him.
