I can't imagine how frightening that was and to be able to heal body AND mind and continue the job shows a better woman than I! A transfer to a female prison wouldn't have done it for me, I'd have quit.....period!!

She killed a 16 year old boy, yet she acts as though she cannot understand why she is in there, and if she keeps saying she can't take it, and 'Somethings gotta give', that they will just say, 'Oh sorry we bad, here let's unlock the door and get you out of here'.
They blame everyone else for their issues, their girlfriend, the therapist, no self awareness, and those are the inmates that end up back in.

I don't think Paris understands the seriousness of taking a life....she keeps complaining about every little thing and how jail is awful but what did she expect after killing a person? she took a life over a misunderstanding ,how horrific is that? the deceased has family who are suffering about his death and Paris over here acting like it's nothing....gtfo

I’m a male CO in a female prison. It’s way more laid back than the male prison you just have to mainly watch for drugs and sex. They usually fight over girlfriends and debts. To do this job, you have to keep everyone at arms length cause if it even LOOKS like you paying any extra attention to an inmate, yo @$$ is either fired or locked up.

I finished binging OITNB yesterday and I watched it faster than I thought I would and now I’m here. (Obviously I know this is real life.) so now I’m binging prison videos on YouTube. I grew up in Baltimore. My grandfather, cousin, boyfriend, probably more I can’t think of right now, did time at MCI. It’s unfortunate when a few wrong choices can literally ruin your life. It’s interesting hearing the Baltimore/Maryland accents. I didn’t think I’d notice them standing out bc I grew up hearing ppl talk with these accents.

I literally lost it when they said two showers a week when you’re in “Lock” that would be horrible for me. Looking at this documentaries really put into perspective what could happen to you if you end up in prison let it be for a few months or life.

If I were an officer, I would be worried about someone following me home and someone harm me as soon as i leave the prison. You never know. I'm sure a lot of these women have contacts on the outside and if you piss off a prisoner, who's to say that they won't get someome to hurt you on the outside. Very risky business.

I work in a women's prison and all of this is correct. I work in ad-seg it can be very difficult & stressful yet I feel I can relate to the women.

This was just such a sad documentary, seeing what happens to these women. The new mother has 7 years to go for burglary? Was anyone injured, is there any reason why this young woman could not be doing house arrest? Yes, she should be punished, however, by taking those babies from her and sending them home to daddy without her is now punishing the children & their father. I hope he has tons of support because raising twins is NOT easy. I raised a 3 week old along with my 7-week old niece after her parents were killed on 9/11. It was her mother's first week back after giving birth.
