Actually the cooking process of Shengjianbao include the steaming part at first in the fry pan. When the water ran out, the oil inside will fry the bun. And so delicious!

The NianGao is different with Malaysian Chinese NianGao, I think the southern China NianGao should be same with MY Chinese. MY Chinese also love XiaoLongPao, we usually will go restaurant Ding Tai Fung or Dragon-I to eat. The meat skewers in MY is call Satay or Sate in Indonesian and Malay spell.

However, when on another China vlogger''s video, a guokui was shown, it resembled what I think of as a green onion pancake yet internet searches of a guokui show a smaller and puffier pancake that looks much more like the green onion pancake in this video~

Hi Amy, I had a fried pancake in Shanghai once with sesameseeds and there was also an option with spices in it. It wasn''t jianbing, but more like a fried flatbread almost. Would you know what it is? If you would drop me in Shanghai right now, I would be able to find it with my eyes closed. But here in Europe haven''t had any luck.

These Shanghai foods are delicate, which I can have them in Hong Kong, too. Except the stinky tofu (臭豆腐), even I haven''t tried it yet, but the smell is so strong.
