I do not feel safe as a high school teacher, nor do I feel my daughter who is an itinerant elementary school teacher is safe. We'll both wear face shields and masks- I double mask- she can't double mask as she has breathing problems. Lunchtime is especially worrying.

Honestly, I have felt mostly safe this whole school year. My admin has bent over backwards and been super rigid with the rules. But there comes a time (ie NOW) when cases are just too high: NO indoor congregate settings can be safe, protocols or not.

NO! My family is going into schools tomorrow to work with rising cases in their areas. My brother (an Ontario teacher) tested positive last week after a student in his class did. I am scared for him who is an asthmatic and my senior mother who lives with him.
