I don't think it's a good idea to invest in India. It's kind of an unstable country. I mean small investment is ok, but investing big is taking too much risk in my opinion.

India - is acting against themselves. They can require a plan to fully auto - make the cars in india, but right now what is gonna buildup their electrical infurstructure, the answer is electrical cars. Thus india needs to pemit him, to first- initiate building electrical cars else were, importing to india, without a tarrif. This will in a few year, pemit companies to rise up, with charging stations, and by next 1 or so years, then the factory will be fully ready to build in india, and supply for india. But they cannot do it in the order they are setting. it is gonna hurt the indian people. Thus, he needs to be able to import from other factories, for a few years. This, will massivly buildup their ev station value, and be ready for indian manufactured teslas. To have a factory built, and eve stations - Because you cannot import, will create a bottle neck for the consumer, Indian consumer, and will make progress and quality for the Indian people deteriate. Thus, india is not wrong about what it wants, but in a newly developed field, they need to give a 5 year margin- adaptaion - to buildup this new industry, before stipulating it's maunfactoring inside the country itself. thus, india and elon are not wrong. It just means they need to re-set the order of thing. #1. india gets electric cars, from imports, without tariff, for 1-3 years. Regarding Tesla.. Though it is a great company and product, it shall integrate into India. India asked to produce Tesla Cars in their own country to get any benefits of tariff. Even if Tesla cannot do so, Indian Car manufacturers are racing and producing many varieties to suit their own models. And more importantly, many EV Conversion Kits are been developed to remodel and this may bring about a New Paradigm Shift in lapping up the opportunity which is not adapted elsewhere. Why should we buy all new car.. We shall convert the existing cars to EV and get the advantage. Such a model is TESLA KILLER... slowly and surely... Hence TESLA also wants to adopt their models in India before this becomes too obvious solution in the entire World.
