Firstly, I would like to appreciate that you admit you know nothing. The majority of guys can’t admit this. This is a trait inbuilt, I surmise.
Now let’s come to the point. As you’re open to learning, it will be easier for you to grasp. Willingness and curiosity is something that builds geniuses.
We evolved and could survive because we were curious.
What you need to do is read books. Books are written after years of research and experience.
This will give you a head start. If you choose the right books, it can even change your life.
And one thing, you’ll never know until you try and experience. The one who regrets are the ones who didn’t try.
People who try come up with ideas, skills or mistakes and lessons.
This is a simple thing yet people knowingly ignore.
Reading helps and it doesn’t have to be books too. You are on a great platform- Quora. You can read here as well.
Cheers!! I pray that you all change into a great human being.

Hey,
I can totally understand you because this is exactly what I was going though a few years back. To be precise, when I was 23 Years old. I didn’t know anything, literally nothing. I was depressed like hell because I thought I have wasted all the time in my life. But that isn’t true at all, age is no parameter to know what you are capable of.
So, I decided to shut the doors of past and do everything, step by step. Bit by bit. I started writing journal on daily basis, just the routine things in a diary. And by the six months, I was writing really good- poems, proses etc…I made my friends read that and some of them appreciated and said I have potential to be a good writer. I didn’t believe them at all. So, I just kept doing it as a hobby for a very very long time.
And then after a year n half, I was shifted to Delhi for my training. And one day, I attended an event and performed there. Guess what! I won! Yes!
And since then, there has been no looking back. I have been part of a lot of pages related to literature on FB and have started my own now, The Art Galore.
As I am a CS by qualification but wanted to be a writer. So, I switched to full time writing and everyone around said that It wouldn’t work. But, guess what! It did! I have a great job and quite a few good freelancing projects by my side. Everything works as long as you do.
Since, I was always keen to learn dance, I said why not give it a try. I have started learning dancing last year and am doing pretty good at it too. Still learning.
So, within these past 3 years, I have learn pretty good things in life and they are:
Writing- poetries, stories, blogging.
Reading- read almost 70–80 books (PS: I didn’t read even a single book before 2015)
Cooking: Yes, I make sure that I learn at least 2 dishes
every month
Art and Craft: I consider waste no waste, so try my best to make something useful with that. Made quiet a few good stuff. :)
Dancing: Learning contemporary
Fought public fear: Performed in many platforms to beat the public fear out of me. Still working on it.
Started using Quora: Been following Quora from a very very long time. Now, have started answering too. So, this is my first ever answer on Quora.
Thanks. Hope this helps.

This is an excellent discovery! Congratulations!
My father (a now retired electrical engineering professor) once told me something wise about this decades ago. I'd been complaining about my struggles in graduate school. I was about your age. I whined, "The more I learn the more stupid I feel!"
"Good!" he declared. "That means you're getting smart!"
upxe: This answer has gotten more up votes than any other I've given on Quora since I joined a few years ago. Thanks everyone!
2nd upxe: Found this quote today, 4/7/15: "In seeking wisdom thou art wise; in imagining that thou hast attained it, thou art a fool." ~ Rabbi Ben-Azzal
3rd upxe: More backup from Bertrand Russell: “The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wise people are full of doubts.”

I don’t know whether am I eligible to write this answer because I am too of this age right now. Well, I do feel the same and I think all of us at this particular age feel the same. Well to share my experience what I personally do is I don’t try to get this thing on my head but use this as a chance to experience different things.
Writing is one of them. I could have never thought that I would start writing but here I am, writing stuff consistently and helping people out.
I have never read any books apart from those academic ones, but now I use this as an opportunity to read books and what I found is that I love reading books. It can be self-help books, novels, or any book which would make me learn something.
I started learning multiple things through online courses. I know that you have to be stable and be good at one particular thing but I don’t feel that this is the perfect age to be stable in life if your family is not dependent on you. Rather try to experiment with different things. A lot of people at this age don’t know what they exactly want to do in their life and it's OKAY! Try out different things, fail, learn but don’t stop.
Hope It Helps! Thanks For Reading.

Read Books - This is a step I’m currently doing myself. It’s not always convenient to carry a book around so I download audiobooks onto my phone and listen to them on the go. Definitely worth the investment.
Watch YouTube Videos - Let’s be honest. YouTube has a video for everything these days. I wanted to learn how to dance like Usher when I was in high school so I checked out this video haha - “How To Dance Like Usher” . Take advantage of this awesome resource to learn more about topics you aren’t familiar with. It’s great because YouTube creators are super creative at delivering beautiful visual content that’s easy to digest.
Talk To People - I can’t count how many times I’ve learned just by having an intelligent conversation with someone. It’s even more beneficial when you speak with someone that has more knowledge or experience than you (parents, professors, counselors, etc.). The more information you soak up, the more you’ll be able to offer in future intellectual conversations.
Take Notes - Whenever you take in information make sure you take notes. Taking notes that you can review later helps you remember more of the books you read or the videos you watch.
Seek New Experiences - Break your routine habits and go on new adventures. Travel if you can. Having new life experiences expands your worldview and increases your overall knowledge about the world we live in.

Welcome to adulthood! You've finally breached the know it all attitude that appeared in your youth. And now, your eyes are wide open.
We become educated by learning, and it takes time. I'm not talking about being taught, either - I'm talking about reflecting on your experience versus your expectations and adapting your thinking. Even the most intelligent people feel uneducated, and that's what drives many of us to continue learning.
When I was your age, I felt the same way. I launched my first company at 22, and by 23 it was nearly dead. I thought I knew everything about business and that I could do it better than everyone else... And then I got curb stomped.
Instead of sitting around feeling sorry for myself (okay, I lie, I did for 4 months) I used the experience for fuel to examine everything about the errors of my ways. I reflected and uated my experience - and I determined the cause of my errors and what I didn't know. By the way, that's the first step of learning: know what you don't know.
Anyways, long story short, from the inter reflection, I became a business process analyst and entered the sales system design field. I built my processes into systems that forced me to follow them, and now I teach my clients how to do that too.
So how do you start feeling intelligent? It has nothing to do with your IQ. I know a ton of village idiots that feel intelligent.
Instead, accept that no one really knows everything about anything - and learn one subject incredibly well. Then you'll be an expert in something, which will make you valuable.
When you offer people value in what you say, people will listen; and that feels a lot better than feeling intelligent.

I SO understand your question because I had a very similar realization at your age.
I graduated from a fine college thinking it had it made and then realized I had no real direction or understanding about life or about myself or about working or women or even what brought me real joy. I felt lost and directionless.
But now I’m considerably older (in my 60’s) and in retrospect realize how life works. That was an appropriate place for me to be at that age (23 for me too).
The short answer to your question is: Don’t worry about it. Just engage with life’s experiences as they arise and you’ll invariably “improve” yourself and learn.
But I bet you want more of an answer. So here’s a longer, perhaps more helpful/illuminating answer :
Congratulations. You have already discovered something very significant: You don’t know much yet. (You DO but you don’t have enough experience and perspective yet that you feel you have anything valuable, if that makes sense.) That’s a big, important realization! We have to realize the truth of who we are and what we know—in other words, we have to recognize we have a need and be open to satisfying it—before we can develop a desire that is strong enough to help us move forward in our lives and be truly open to discovering more for ourselves.
Keep your mind open! You don’t know what you don’t know. Never think for a second that you know everything or even a lot about yourself, about life, about how the world works, etc. As you’ve said, you don’t. There is always more to know. And until you’re deep into something you’re learning about/experiencing, it’ll be hard for you to have a very useful perspective on it.
The more open you are, the more experiences and opportunities will show up for you, and the more you’ll learn how to do, and the more you’ll “improve.” You’ll also grow more confident and grounded so you feel even better about yourself and your life. Your life will get to a point where it feels like it’s rolling along with some momentum and direction. Until it doesn’t feel that way. And we all have those times too.

Focus on your strengths. Trust yourself. It may not seem like it but you have a lot to offer right now, no matter who you are. We humans tend to judge and doubt ourselves mercilessly. We focus on our supposed flaws while we could be celebrating our strengths and gifts. So let go of your self-judgment and forgive yourself often, just as you would have others forgive you, and then dive into life and notice what you like and how well you do and where/when you find yourself feeling excited, interested, passionate, even empowered. Those will be times you’re uncovering and/or using your strengths and assets and talents. Then, the more you recognize and use those the better you’ll feel about yourself and your life experience.
If you trust yourself you’ll be less likely to hide out from life. You'll want to experience more things, whether it’s trying out different jobs, dating more, traveling to more exotic places, etc. And hidden in each of those experiences is the opportunity for more self-development (improvement) that you’re looking for.
Don’t suppress or deny or overlook your fears. Face them. Breathe and feel the fear and then move through it. It’s not easy for most of us to do that (certainly myself included—I spent decades avoiding my fears). But until you can do that you’ll be hiding out from life trying to stay safe and severely limiting your experience.
Learn to breathe properly, from your gut. This is really, really important so I suggest you read my many other Quora posts on this subject. Because when you breathe properly, you become more present in the moment and you experience the moment more completely and you have a much richer experience of life. While my words here may not make much sense, if you start breathing properly more of the time you will experience this and discover the significance of my statement.
If you focus on these principles and ideas you’ll open yourself up to a wonderful life full of experiences, many of which you might never expect you’d have. In that process you’ll grow and change and learn and really live.
Helpful? I certainly hope so!

You see, I think you just made the deepest and impactful insight about yourself.
I can divide it into two observations:
I don't know anything
I can learn to reduce my ignorance
First, all human knowledge including all digital and physical libraries count for less than 5% of what we consider the potential knowledgeable universe(Insight from astrophysic). So you will, in a way, be always ignorant. This remark is important for you to stay humble and to always seek to know more.
Paradoxically, it is the previous observation that will unleash your learning potential. So lets talk about how you can improve yourself and learn more:
I will just present here a non-exhaustive list
Reading. My advice before reading a book or an article is to read about the author or the organization. It is really helpful.
Watching (interesting) videos on Youtube Platform for example.
Thinking. Just indulge yourself few hours to understand ideas and think about them.
Discussing. Specially with people who do not share your opinions
Creating with your hands. it can be software craftsmanship or performing an experiment (or thought experiment).
Writing. Writing is the best way to think, and to organize your thoughts. I recommend that you start your own blog.
Hope It was helpful.

Improve in 8 Steps:
1) Be more observant, and less judgmental
2) Learn to find everything and anyone interesting
3) Question everything around you.
4) Travel
5) Talk to people.
6) Read
7) Write
8) Apply what you learned in 1-7 to the creation of meaningful projects
While going through this process you can use the iteration cycle to continuously increase self awareness and understand at a deeper level what you are doing, why you are doing it, and what you could be doing better. I recommend writing in a journal everyday, it will change your life.
Watch – What happening? What’s working and what’s not?
Ideate – What could you improve? What are your options?
Guess – Based on what you’ve learned so far, which of your ideas do you think will make the biggest impact?
Which? – Decide which change to make.
Act – Actually make that change
Measure – What happened? Was the change positive or negative? Should you keep the change, or go back to how things were before this iteration?
