Every time I see a social media post about some Indian being appointed in a high position in some overseas company, we just lose our shit. We go all out in claiming to be proud of our 'countrymen' doing something great and representing us globally. When our parents do this it's fine, but even youngsters are doing it. Like really? It eerily sounds the same as our parents brag about us. Why are we living so vicariously through these people who don't even give a shit? Like literally, Kalpana Chawla's photo was being shown three days ago on FB as a death anniversary saying, a child of India has gone to heaven. She's fucking American, she worked with NASA, not ISRO. She died in American airspace, not Indian, and we're bragging about her. SMH.

I do think that we should also be celebrating those people that have found the guts to start a new venture in India. While getting a post of CEO in extremely commendable, I still think we should equally celebrate those that took the risk and tried to create something new.

This and we build path for our country to be headed. Ask questions but not just from a certain political party or group. I’m American and I take some offense to you just thinking that Americans look down on Indians. It is so far from the truth, clearly you will have some racists but overall almost every American I know is welcoming to Indians and appreciates having people of Indian descent immigrate to our country. I’m sure a relatively diverse society like India has its fair share of racists so don’t judge America. We both have issues.
