Congratulations. you have already taken the first step…you understand you have to something with your life! That is a great first step, many people just live their lives and never question themselves what they want to do or where they are going, they just let life lead them wherever it takes them!
So…what do you do? Well chose a nice sunny relaxed day just for yourself, no obligations, no work, no worries, no commitments and no timetable, and take a walk in the park, sit by the seashore or go boating in a lake. Bottom line find a place where you can be by yourself with no interruptions or distractions and ask yourself what it is that you want to do with your life. Ask yourself the following questions to kick off the process:

- What is my obxtive in life? Is it to be happy, to have a family, to excel in a given field, to become an artist, etc.? Hopefully chose something not necessarily material like becoming rich, unless that is what really rocks your boat! Really try and define an obxtive that will still drive you inside of 20, 30 or 40 years more.
- Ask yourself what are the things you really like to do? Do you like physical chores, creation, intellectual challenges, music, art, numbers, words, etc?
- Question yourself if you like to work with people or are you more of a loner?
- Define if you like changes or are you more of a routine type of person?
- Etc, etc.

The idea is to question yourself regarding what you are, who you are, what you like, what you don't like, what are your passions, abilities and capabilities.Once you have asked and answered all these questions, your mind should have built an internal matrix with this Q&A process. Don't worry about seeing it, it will be there. If you are more of a hands-on type of person, well then write everything down before you take the next step.
Once you have finished the process above (you have to do it honestly, seriously and in depth), let your thoughts mature a bit, give yourself a day or two before you come back and let your brain work for you (believe me, your brain is a great problem solver!) before you tackle the final answer.
Once you have given it time, you can now ask yourself what you want to do with your life, and you should come up with some very clear options from which to chose from...Good Luck!

Michael Airton
I was where you are right now at around your age. And honestly, I’m not completely past it, though I have made definite progress.
As a starting point, it’s important to assess what you want out of your “passion” when you discover it. Do you want your passion to simply be something that makes you happy on an emotional/psychological level? Does your passion also have to be somehow connected to what you do for a living, in order for you to consider it a passion? Does your passion have to be “your life’s work” in order for it to be worthwhile?
When I was in my early thirties, I remember being pretty bummed out by the realization that I didn’t have a “passion”. I could look to my closest friends and identify what their passions were, and I wanted that too. Around about that time my first marriage fell apart, and I was left with the realization that I’d allowed myself to become defined as “Michael, married guy”. Which was fine up to that point, except that when the marriage ended, I felt like I had no identity. There’s no sure path that will uncover your passion. The best advice I can give you is “try new things”. It doesn’t matter what they are. Tired of your job? Consider switching to a new job within your current field, or switching fields completely. If that seems like too much of an upheaval (we all have to eat, after all), try new things in your spare time. Take up a recreational sport. Volunteer for something. Sign up for some athletic endeavour that requires you to work towards a goal. Listen to some new music. Read some different books.

A lot of the new stuff you try won’t resonate with you, but something somewhere will. And your life will be richer for having at least tried something before discarding it. This has certainly been true for me; I’ve unlocked several passions this way (none of them are jobs), and my life is much better for it.The passion you uncover might be a career, but it certainly doesn’t have to be — it can just be something that really interests you, that you are happy to dive into and spend hours blissfully absorbed in without noticing the passage of hours. That’s about the best definition of a “passion” that I can come up with.I’ll leave you with a suggestion. Go to YouTube and look up “Tim Minchin graduation”. It’s a ten minute speech given a few years ago by comedian Tim Minchin to the graduating class of the University of Western Australia. He’s got some truly wonderful things to say on the subject of living a fulfilling life, and the summation he offers at the end is truly great.

"Follow your passion" has become a well-worn phrase these days. It feels like your life is waste if you don't know what your passion is, when all you can see around on social media is people posting their journey towards their goals with all the cool hashtags. It makes you want to do something different than what you have been doing all these years.
I know of so many people who are bored of their 9–5 jobs and want to do something different. Some who have quit their job in pursuit of their passion. Some have been successful, others are still struggling. Finding passion is an issue for everyone these days, for those who are just starting their career journey, as well as for those who are stuck in jobs that they don't enjoy.
But one thing that I observe people doing these days is considering passion a way of earning money. They look at 9–5 job as something worthless. Something that prevents them from fulfilling their passion. I do believe in passion but I also believe that passion is not only limited to your job profile. Passion is beyond this race of cool hashtags and proving to be more successful than others. It's about your inner happiness, when you're at peace with your mind and body, your life, the people around you. It's a lot more.
Passion is not always about making more money, leading an enviable life. I If you're among those people who feel that you should find a passion that makes you earn more money than you're earning right now, then can you make sure it will remain your passion forever? What if you're bored a few years down the line, and you want to pursue another passion. Passion is not about money, its about inner peace. Something that can allow you to be yourself even when the world is crashing. Something that can make you smile even in the darkest times. Something that you want to do happily anytime.

I know some people have interests that pay off their bills as well. But this is not always the case. What about the people who work in community centers, NGOs that don't make them famous and don't give them a lot of money. Are you going to say that they're not passionate enough?
If you are sure that for you finding passion is not about more money, but about adding purpose to your life, then look within yourself. Ask yourself, what is it that you can keep doing rest of your life and not get bored. What are the things that make you happy even if you don't earn so much fame and money. Will it make you at peace. Is it something that you always wanted to do as a child, or is it something that you’ve observed recently and want to follow it.
It doesn't matter if you're not good at it. If you're ambitious enough to keep up with your whole life, then you can definitely try to be good at it. This shouldn’t stop you. You need to face your fear and be transparent with yourself. Because pursuing passion is about you, it's not for the sake of others. I know, this isn’t going to come automatically, you need to think deeply about it. Spare sometime in your everyday life to think about it. Who knows you will find your passion or you may even realize that where your life is taking you is where you actually wanted to be. May be you were just lost and life has taken you on the right path.
I really hope you do find your passion. Its there in you, you just need to keep looking.

Passion.?
On an average how many have discovered the answer to this early and at the right time.?
A very few.Yes just a few people around us. It's okay that some are willing to earn their living no matter how difficult their path is while rest of us choose comfort and certified path to live their life upon.Their only motive is to earn money well no matter what work has been assigned to them.Money is the ultimate motivation.
Trust the fact that some figure's it out early in their life while some takes too longer than expected.
Be hopeful!
As of now,you have to decide what category you fit in. Is it doing what you love or it's just the motive of earning income well through a common well known path.
What is it what matters to you the most.?
You are well and truly capable of living of your choice.
If you Do or you Don't that's upto You!
Take your time, work on thing's you have been once excited for.

Ask Yourself. Am I happy with my life exactly as it is now.? Am I happy staying where I am? If you don't like the answer.Get to Work.Start writing all of your interests on a paper,do it practically, keep reviewing it and if you feel happy and excited of what ever your doing you are soon gonna figure out the work you love.
I have come across people who are passionate enough to take a lot of risks before they made it to big and other's who aren't are still struggling with their daily monotonous routine.
Aahaa, let me tell you my story.I am in my 20's.I am pursuing Hotel Management and I have a least interest in it.
What do you think has led me into this situation.?
A WRONG DECISION.
Why is it so difficult to find the purpose of your life.?

After stepping out of school I had no Idea what to do with my life.Though I had a lot of interests like Paintings,Speaking,Helping and But I had no idea of how to make that as my profession which earns me well.
So whatever just came in my way,I grabbed it thinking I will figure out something in the course of 3 year's of what I am really gonna do in my life.
Now I am in my final year of graduation still hustling with my life figuring out of what I actually like and will love and continue doing it for the rest of my life.
For months now,I have been working on so many interests of mine to see which excites me a lot.Believe me,finding once so called passion is so soo difficult and frustrating. Our interests fluctuates more than the weather out there.
I have been watching a lot of YouTube video's,reading a bunch of article's on internet. And trust me the more I read and watch the more I become confused.Hell, yaa it's a tough time for me now.
P.S- Since I have spent so much alone time with me figuring out thing's I actually love doing I have so far succeeded in just minimalising my bunch of interests to 3–4 from more than 15+ list.
Hope life reverts back to me with a positive note!

This is a tough question and int he process, i ended up starting my own firm (www....).
First why do we feel lost:
Essentially because the society forces upon us a model of success that is some one else's creation. So there is a certain definition of success and failure, of right and wrong. This forces us to live a life of some one else's creation and not our own. Hence even when you get all that is considered success in traditional definition, a feeling of emptiness remains inside.
What can we do about it:
Know that it is OK to be lost and that in itself is a progress forward. At least you are not living in a false, artificially created world of others. It now gives you the power to create your own.
Second, get back in touch with yourself. I have personally found mediation to be a great tool for this. An other alternate may be to break free from your immediate environment. Travel is a great tool to achieve this. Take a sabbatial, travel for six months and let the world come to you. Be carefull that you do not carry your existing world with you in your travels for example live only in resorts or in luxury, instead be earthed and stay close to ground. You may also choose to be close to nature, that allows the natural rythmn of universe to come to you. Read, read read....It helps open you to a whole new world out there. Remeber you dont open a book, you open a mnd.
If all else fails, get a drink and remember this to shall pass :)

Passion is a funny thing.
It seems that people too often to look for their passion as if it is hidden deep in the jungles of South America, instead of finding passion in what it is that they do.
My brother is an electrician and has been for over 15 years. I guarantee electricity is not his passion. But there is pride and passion in what he does. He takes his work seriously, takes pride in doing work well, and never complains about what he's doing.
He never talks about how he hasn't found what he’d love to do with his life because he puts love into what he does in his life.
He is passionate about side projects that he helps our family with for no reward aside from a “thank you” and dinner.
He's passionate about his dog, raising his kids right, putting pride into his work and spending time with his family. He's passionate about concepts and ideals he believes in.
All too often we worry about not getting certain things out of life:
Passion for our work
Love from people around us
Value from our interactions with others
But we forget to give and put out there what we hope to receive. We don't put passion into what we do or show love for those around us or bring value to the people we interact with.
I certainly don't have life figured out yet, but if there's one thing I've seen time and time again, it's that the people who genuinely put passion into what they do and bring love to the people they interact with always receive it back tenfold.

Either you are born with passion, or you create passion.
Some people are born loving certain things; they have inherent and inborn abilities to perform in the field.
While most people are born normal, to live a simple life dedicated to every ordinary thing.
If you want to have a passion in life which becomes your support system or charm, which you can look upon each day, you need to create it.
Each one of us has specific interests, explore them, find the one which fascinates you the most, get deep inside it.
If you like eating, learn cooking, then practice preparing innovative dishes, learn more, start a youtube channel.
If you like reading, start writing, write more, improve, publish books, write articles.
If you like studies, pick the subject which interests you, do a doctorate in it, do research.
If music fascinates you, learn music, learn to play instruments, practise playing them, start a channel, or join groups, or teach.
If you like driving, join driving enthusiasts, go on long drives, participate in competitions.
I can give countless more examples.
Age and qualifications are no bar; you can start at sixteen or sixty or even later than that.
