Why can't the US just get on with it instead of all the we are great, the insecure issues.

They think that they have an empire though. A few islands. A man here the other day told me that the US covered twice the area of Australia because they have twice the time zones. He was counting the vast expanses of the Pacific Ocean in which some small almost unpopulated except for nuclear missile shells and army bases as American territory.

Have you heard of the British empire? They’ve been there done that. Britain is a lot safer than America and the average Brit has a higher living standard than the average American anyway . They also have free universal healthcare and an public education system that is way ahead of what the Americans have and you don’t have to be worried about people wandering around in public carrying firearms. I think the British are relatively happy with their way of life compared to the United States.

I think the clue is in the name: “Great Britain”.
I don't think the world would recognise “Great States of America”!
Good luck to you over the next 250 years in trying to get there.
In retrospect you should look at things from an historical perspective. The term “Great Britain” represents the old world order. That's now passed in the modern era. Most people acknowledge that the term has historical significance but is out of kilter with modern geopolitics. It would be more appropriate to use the term “United Kingdom” which is more acceptable. (Even “Kingdom” grates a bit!)
But, as this seems to be a trolling question, I do believe the questioner should refer to some decent history texts before remarking or commenting further, so long as your Trumpanzees haven't burnt them all!
If they have, you'll have to look in the grate for your “great"!

Firstly, who cares which country is greater. As someone who does not live in the US or UK, I know which of these countries I would rather live in and it is not the USA. In my opinion the greatest mistake the US ever made was the American War Of Independence and they have made many. When I compare Canada, Australia and New Zealand to the US, I know that Canada, Australia and New Zealand are far better off remaining part of the Commonwealth, rather than severing ties to Britain.

It rarely happens when people kill someone because of race. Kill a black person, and it will be known more. I hope that the next monarch will be nicer than they are now. I meant that they seem to have a tradition not marry by love, if they are Royal. I do not see equality, if they rarely marry common people.

The fact you all continue to answer such obviously gimmicky and troll questions astounds me. Every time it's the same ask a silly question that is aimed at causing drama and every single time you all fall for it.

The USA is a country that accepts the routine slaughter of it's children in order to keep the gun industry in profit.

Because the UK isn't in competition with the US and I've also heard more American accents in the UK than I have in the US so it clearly isn't as great as you try make it out to be.When the Americans get their heads out their fat arses and visit different countries they'd realise their country is not different to any other country around the world.Yes you have tourist attractions but so does every other country around the world regardless of whether you like that countries attractions or not.

In the building of its empire Britain was the most significant shaper of the modern world today. The industrial revolutions birth in Britain made it the global epicentre for innovation and technology which provided the basis for Britain inventing a vast array of the very things we now take for granted from trains to computers to penicillin. The UK has 133 Nobel prize winners. Germany is behind it with 108 winners, the next in line is France with 68. The only country ahead is the USA with 383, which still actually ranks lower on a per capita basis. The technological and scientific contributions made by the UK to the world is simply vast, and one of the most important aspects of its continued cultural significance.
Back in the 1980s, the Japanese Ministry of International Trade & Industry referred to a worldwide survey of experts on what were the 100 most significant discoveries made for humankind, and where did these originate from. The results were that 54% of these inventions were British, with the USA being the runner up with 25%. In addition to this, the UK is responsible for the creation of practically all the world’s most popular sports. Football, Rugby, Cricket, Tennis all originated within the UK. In the entertainment sector, where in areas such as music the UK has provided the world with some of the most popular bands and musicians from the Beatles to Ed Sheeran whilst simultaneously being hugely influential in the film and arts industries.
Britain created countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Singapore, and the USA in which in the short space of 300 years have become world leaders in so many aspects. No other country can claim to have created anything close to what Britain has achieved. In doing so, its legacy has continued to evolve. Much of what was once the British Empires continues to be part of the Commonwealth, an alliance of 54 nations with a combined population of over 2.4 billion long after the empire has ceased to exist.
The two world wars were the twilight of the empire, and while they sought the end of it, they cemented the UK into the history books as one of the most dominant countries of the time. Twice it was on the winning side and twice it participated in a war on a global scale on multiple fronts, for the entirety of both wars. A feat no other country managed to do. It stood alone against Nazi Germany and with thanks in particular to men such as Winston Churchill who stood firm against appeasement and effectively forced the world into opposing Nazi Germany, and providing the base for the gigantic efforts of the USSR and USA.

The UK was the biggest economy in the world for more than 3 centuries. The USA has been the biggest economy for 102 years as of now ( they overtook the UK in 1920). On 10 years or so China will overtake them. Obviously 2nd rate in the historical world leadership stakes, definitely behind Rome, Alexander the Great, Attila the Hun (and the UK). Are you really as ignorant of world history as you appear to be or are you just pretending. Nobody can be this ignorant - can they?

Stuff like this reminds me of a guy who worked briefly with my team about year before COVID.
Let’s call him Sam.
Sam, aged 17, joined an international team of IT professionals, the youngest of which was me and I was 35. Sam was with us on unpaid work experience, cocksure and over-confident. Whatever anybody else said, Sam wasn’t really interested and was quite convinced that every other member of the team was old-hat, held back by rigid thinking, and freewheeling through their career. Sam thought he knew everything; he was also naive enough to think that someone who thinks they know everything becomes Mr Popularity, and that other people would recognise his brilliance and enter orbit around him.
He did twice as much work as anybody else, but all the work he did had to be double-checked and extensively revised. We spend more time fixing what he did than if we’d just done it ourselves. He buggered up everything he went near. Even really simple tasks; rushing headlong into everything with a heady mixture hyperactive exhuberance and off-the-chart levels of personal arrogance, he didn’t think through anything, and routinely sacrificed detail for speed and considered that an appropriate trade-off. He was flashy and even peripherally impressive, but he had no substance and no humility. The people who liked him the most were the people who knew him the least.

He tried to manage everything, couldn’t and wouldn’t function as a team player, couldn’t accept not being in charge, and tried to dominate everything and everyone who entered his radar, because he thought he knew better and he thought that everybody would be secretely relieved to have such a dynamic go-getter batting for them. He even tried to backchat our CEO, and you can imagine the conversation that happened after that.
He didn’t care what other people thought or how his “efforts” were being received, because he didn’t respect anybody. His mindset was that he knew he was right, so people around him would either agree and support him unconditionally, or they wouldn’t and they’d be wrong and who wants to know what a wrong person thinks? In short, you’re either with him or you’re not worth worrying about.
We couldn’t get rid of Sam fast enough. He was only with us for three weeks but it felt like a lifetime. Nobody had the heart to tell him to his face that he was the most annoying, stuck-up little snot-nosed jack-off we’d ever worked with… and frankly, we just couldn’t believe that he would need to be told in the first place, thinking it was glaringly obvious - that he annoyed everyone he met and that the team considered him to be, on balance, a liability and a hindrance.
Am I being appropriately transparent, here?

Why doesn’t the USA have its own language?
Think about it, they don’t have one so they use ours.
Why are Americans so hostile to each other?
Why do people go shopping in Target with guns?
Why do so many people live in tents?
Why does the US have no proper health care for its citizens?
Why are Americans so racist, considering that they are all descendants of immigrants themselves?
This doesn’t make America great, I’d rather take a vacation in Syria or Somalia.

Why can’t the US citizens who post these ridiculous questions - do some reading and get some education. The country you live in, is sadly, a prime example of some of the best and some of the worst the human race has to offer. There are far too many people in the Us who are no better off than if they lived in a third world country.
The rest of the “civilised world” do not want to be like you. People in Britain emigrate more readily to Australia, New Zealand and Canada. Why?, better health care, better police, hardly any guns and a culture far more civilised.
Interesting that we sent convicts to Australia and Religious zealots to America and Australia is the more civilised, is fairer, more open minded, much safer ( apart from all the animals that want to kill you) and far more tolerant of race, religion, gender etc.
