You only ceded Macau and Hong Kong. That laughable considering you also ceded Taiwan to Japan, Guangzhou under French administration for the aftermath of the war, Tianjin for the German even to to the consider most kind of trouble Europe country Austria Hungary. And you didn't ceded only hong kong island is it. there is a buffer state between it, then half and the coast line of Manchuria to Russia which make Kangxi ( the best of the Qing Emperor) effort go to waste, and the leash of port Arthur to the Russian which cause the Russo Japanese war, then best of all city Shanghai is under foriegn control and i can list more unequal treaty term , more rebellion that cause your country ruin and then the ethnic tension....
Yeah so what for you never truly conquered us you fail, like you fail in Burma, only the French manage that. Also plus you also fail to protect Korea which ultimately lead to their doom. They can't think for themselves like us.
At least we are not a big stupid country who make a laughable decision that declaring war on 11 nation. Which included Europe most powerful nation plus the USA and Japan Empire.

Fun fact about the time China declare war on 11 nation. The Major power don't even concern that China gonna win ( which they couldn't never hope to win) they just concern that China gonna be divided a territorial concession which will lead to a world war. That why Britain and USA opposed to any major territorial concessions. If it they are not opposed you can be sure China will be divided into many colony under Major power. Which your country Korea maybe under Russian control or the Japanese will try to oppose to take it. In any case of your country will suffer.

If that what you mean， you literally saying everyone from French all way to Jerusalem is the sons of Rome. I can assure you many will disagree with you. In the end, it was Western Imperialism that made Japan break out of its 250 years of isolation and forced the Chines, Koreans, Japanese to all declared themselves as Empires and went on war with each other. The reason why the West had no problems with Japan taking Korea was because they had an agreement with USA, Japan takes Korea but USA takes Philippines.
