I review and upxe my list of tasks that will carry over or commence on the next day. A list is an easy to maintain summary of tasks to be completed and it sticks. I also find that my mind is subconsciously working on the list as well.

At the age of 20, she got married and was sent to karnataka. A complete new state for her, new language, new people but she managed it all. Couldn't complete her graduation because of the marriage, decided to give it in the coming year but couldn't make that too due to illness of mother in law(cancer).
The year following she gave birth to a beautiful daughter so couldn't make it that year too, but instead of giving up did it after a gap of years by studying only for a couple of weeks and cleared with a good score. At the age of 25, she gave birth to the second child and in the mean time lost her mother in law.
And after a couple of years, also lost father in law. At the age of 29, she gave birth to the third child. Just 7 days before the child was born, she lost her husband. She was never supported by brothers in law and they treated her very badly. She couldn't pay fees of her daughter’s school. Neither was given a penny to purchase books for her further education. So she was alone with 3 small kids. But never did she give up.
At the age of 30,she gave B.A exam and cleared it. At the age of 31 cleared B.Ed . And started teaching in school. She also completed her M.A next few years. At the age of 32, she realised the importance of education and decided to come back to Maharashtra for giving the best education to the young ones. Stayed with her parents for a year but then decided to stay Independently. Stayed in 1 room with the 3 young ones.

I am a Chartered Accountant bagging All India Rank (21) and All India Rank (14) Currently working as an Investment Banking Analyst with JP Morgan Chase and did my Internship at KPMG (One of the big 4 Accounting firms).

If you come in to work on time every day and do your work, then you should leave once you’ve put in your required hours.
Typical Work Day (example):
Time for Company: 8 hours + 1-hour lunch + 2-hour commute = 11 hours
Time for You: 5 hours (if you are lucky, don’t have a family or obligations)
Time for Sleep: 8 hours
There are many companies out there that expect you to dedicate your whole life to them but work-life balance is important. Draw a line in the sand and set the boundaries on your time, otherwise your manager and co-workers will take advantage. If you allow your company to take from your personal time, you won’t have time to enjoy the things in life that prevent you from burning out.
This attitude may affect how you are perceived by people in the company so it is up to you to decide if that matters because if the culture is one where everyone is expected to stay late and you go against the grain, you might have to start looking for another job, one that holds the same values as you.

In those times, it was the only ImpEx company in all of Madras. Before the advent of Tidel Park and other IT parks, we were the only park office in the entire universe.
My office is green and calm. There’s no stress and tension. The office is cool with playing cards, power naps and flexible hours. I love my job and I have the authority to recruit people when I find them worthy enough. I also moonlight as a writer under the pseudonym Bhairavan.
My day starts with a refreshing cup of coffee, packed from my own kitchen, in a flask. My work desk is so peaceful that I don’t move to a cafeteria to have my lunch. I find time enough to read the papers and do the crossword every single day. I lead an envious life altogether!
My colleague, the uber handsome gentleman wearing the white shirt is drool worthy.

There are 2 types of work from home jobs that you might like to consider, and each of them has its pros and cos:
Working remotely, full-time for ONE company. Positive: stability, don’t have to look for new contracts, just work from home and receive your salary. AND benefits (social package, etc). Negative: everything that goes with being a corporate employee. Sick? Need a day off? Want to have a vacation? You have to ask for that in advance, and some people HATE that. They gladly drop all the benefits for the sake of freedom, and THAT’S WHY they choose
Working remotely as a freelancer or independent contractor, meaning that you’re your own boss now. Pros: flexibility beyond everything, you don’t have to ask anyone if you want to skip a day or two, or go on a vacation; you decide which projects you take and which you don’t, etc. Cons: you have to be on the constant lookout for new projects and new jobs to cover your expenses and make money. Which is sometimes pretty exhausting.
So before I give you any advice, let me know WHICH type of job would YOU prefer? And why?
Because the hiring process / finding a remote job process differs in each case.

You can’t.
Unless your job allows you to work from home full time, a doctor’s note will not change things. And even then most people who do work from home need to put in face time at the office at least once a week. Zoom has taken care of part of that need but even now I tend to work from home more than half the week and only go to the office once a week or when it’s absolutely necessary. So you’d still need to make your way down there otherwise people will forget your face and you won’t be considered for movement, promotions or raises. Face time in the office is important.
And unless you’re prepared for them to go over your medical history for several years to ensure that you are too sick to go to work but are capable of doing it from home I suggest you try another track.

Zoom has taken care of part of that need but even now I tend to work from home more than half the week and only go to the office once a week or when it’s absolutely necessary. So you’d still need to make your way down there otherwise people will forget your face and you won’t be considered for movement, promotions or raises. Face time in the office is important.
And unless you’re prepared for them to go over your medical history for several years to ensure that you are too sick to go to work but are capable of doing it from home I suggest you try another track.

You descend into the supposedly nuke-proof cellar reminescent of the cold war, to check the status of the radios and automatic telephone/data exchange. The usual technical things. You ponder and laugh a little inside about the technology you’re handling. 80s style all around, the exchange “computer” is a huge Siemens closet running a bunch of freaking 8086 processors and all in all eating more power than your whole house. Cooled by air conditioning eating more power than an appartment building. Controlled by what looks like a 286 computer with a text-based command prompt. One time you checked and found it’s actually a 486. The most modern looking things are the encryption devices. They must have been made way into the 90s.

For today, we’ll have a little weapon familiarisation for the new recruits. Last thursday, you were at the unit’s armory (150km away) to borrow an MG3 which the recruits haven’t seen at all in basic training. So for once, there are actual weapons on base, other than the guards’ pistols. Which is somewhat unusual. The green camo helps a great deal in pretending to be a soldier most of the time, absent weapons.

So it’s around 1330, on a saturday. It is… not peanut butter jelly time, but actually you’re on standby now, from 1300 officially. Which means that as long as nothing breaks down, it’s more or less leisure time. Just stay on post, be… physically present, and relax, for which of course the official term is “improving readiness”. You join your men at the kicker table and get hammered by your sergeant buddy. The first sergeant is laying on the couch watching TV. The largest of the recruits, a somewhat lazy fellow, is taking a nap in his room, because he can.
