I can confirm you would find changfen/juanfen in Vietnam under the name "banh cuon", but it''s slightly different here. The portions are much smaller, and people usually eat it with chopped pork/mushroom, fried shallots, local sausage and fish sauce. Another version can be found in the far north provinces (those that border China) where it it serve with an egg and bone broth. Both are equally delicious

Kumara (sweet potato) sugar soup is my no.1 favourite, hands down. It''s got to have heaps of ginger in it to be good. Guangxi should be well known for its mifeng, which is different from the typical Cantonese style thin rice noodle. Guangxi used to be famous for its game meat, eg snakes, tortoise, lizards, caveat cats .... I''m not sure what the situation is nowadays. Will Amy be brave enough to try one?
