A week ago, they were silent, and the residents were declaring their lack of trust in their politicians, now they are out in force pointing fingers and assigning blame. All away from themselves. While I understand that the Trump Administration repealed the railroad safety rules that the Obama Administration enacted in 2015, specifically the rule applying to high-hazard cargo trains being equipped with electronically controlled pneumatic brakes by 2023, the particular train involved in the Ohio derailment was found not to be categorized as a "high-hazard cargo train" as it applied to the rule, and therefore did not apply. But the amount of comments I've seen over the past few days, on many websites, trying to blame the Biden Administration for not simply "reinstating" the safety regulations that Trump rolled back is appalling at best. Of course, that was before it came out that the brakes wouldn't have applied to the Ohio train in question anyway, now it's a moot issue. Is Trump that beyond fault in their minds that absolutely NOTHING he has done, or does in the future, can or will be seen as his fault, EVER??? I mean it's come to the point where I firmly believe that Trump could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and his supporters would somehow blame Biden for it, or some other Democrat. Hmmmm, Fifth Avenue? Now where have I heard a similar line said before?? lol. All I can say is that Trump surely knows his base, and as pitiful as it is to admit, so does the rest of America at this point. But God forbid you mention any type of cult affiliation. Even though they consistently check every last box on the checklist defining a cult.
