At low concentrations, skatole actually has a rather nice, sweet smell; it crops up in orange blossom and jasmine in small amounts. It''s also used by Zantedeschia aethiopica. Skatole is from breakdown of the amino acid called "tryptophan". That is why sometimes these stinky Tofu smell good.

There are many ethnical minorities there, it will definitely been quite interesting.
