What's wrong with a family enjoying a good food with happiness on their face?

@isaacvitela5131
Ask the Twitter freaks and you'll find out why.

@tux_the_astronaut
Happiness and good family relationships are an alien concept to Twitter users.

@Jun-wu6fs
People who hate this commercial are sick. Please see a doctor.

@kingofnothing1413
People had issues with the "traditional heterosexual family" and the fact that the kid looks too much like the wife, at least this are some parts of the rage

@Mizuuri609
Because their not lovin it......

Ok but seriously these people find a day wasted if they haven't found at least five things that offend them by breakfast.

Mentally ill people that are sad because their daddy doesn't love them don't like seeing other people being happy.

@alaskashow6246
From what I heard, original McDonald's standed for family values and a cozy atmosphere. It's hilarious that Japanese McDonald's looks more like the original idea of McDonald's than American, which is supposed to be THE ORIGINAL McDonald's

@afgcinc7206
Japan is representing the American idea better than America can now represent it. Yikes

@jacobroe3653
There isn't, but some weirdos on twitter had some kind of mass psychosis and invented an imaginary group of people who think the ad is offensive and proceeded to get very angry at people they literally just made up. Twitter does things to you man...

@lyunz
japan ads: made people smile

american ads: made people even more racist

@fausto123
I'm not american but now thanks to that trans black thing now I'm racist and american.

@olegkupran5284
I absolutely "love", when a fast food restaurant is telling me to stop doing something I don't do, like, god damn, I just want to eat

@theamazinggarbage3209
Tbf that’s kind of a dumb take though. Just because you don’t do something personally doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be talked about. Every person on earth obviously isn’t antisemitic but that doesn’t mean people shouldn’t make videos about it.

If you truly aren’t who they’re talking about then it shouldn’t be an issue.

@abraxasarchon
@theamazinggarbage3209 It's an ad for a fast food chain. Leave that for the news or something more political. Show me what you offer. Unless that black trans woman is the menu of McDonald's, then she has no reason to be there. And if I don't eat at McDonald's now, if she were the menu, I would go live in the fields, at least 413 km away from the nearest McDonald's.

@JohanSolaManipuladoresMid
@theamazinggarbage3209 it should be an issue when it's been talked about in a fucking mcdonalds ad, dawg im here to eat not to listen about people dying

@user-qh4lr6bf7i
The American version of the advertisement contributes to reducing appetite appropriately and is a major contributor to solving the obesity problem facing American society.

@smof1
the japanese ad is so much better. It's actually on topic instead of talking about political stuff that is completely irrelevant to the subject of the ad.

@fastestdino2
Yeah pretty much. Mcdonalds really thinks that twitter and redditors represent what people think, especially millenials/zoomers.

@mintyaquagreen1675
This exactly, Japan knows its costumers.

@kennethsatria6607
Literally feels like "bro I just wanna eat something"

@obama7792
first ad: here's a lil animation of people enjoying our meal

second ad: i am a black transformers

@vverewolfchick
Right, where is the politics in food?! Everyone eats!! If you get a video of someone eating, that is not saying someone is better or worse than another person.

@s.a.m7297
bro I'm not american so i don't get the part of "stop killing us" here
i mean if a pork / chicken said it (lol), then i can understand

@CyberLance26
American Mcdonals ads used to be about the family going to eat eat at Mcdonalds together too in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s.

@famirodriguez8301
exactly we just wanna eat & to have a good time by our efforts ,not coming to get lectured by agenda bs

@jammy0596
It's not just the McDonald's ad. I remember a time when all American ads had a mixture of wholesome and crazy ads. Now, everything is just dull that it has become rare to see an ad that would make me smile. The political bullcrap doesn't help and, in some cases, has even come across as tone deaf.

@dna5586
Man I literally laughed my a-off the American McD advertisement. At least the Japanese one still has concept of eating together. McD is the fast food chain where people eat, not activizing bcs

@BowserisOK
The only reason why people on Twitter would attack the Japanese ad is because it represents one thing they'll never have and that's genuine happiness. They can lie and douse themselves with anime porn, progressive behavior, and video games, but those experience and happiness are temporary and not something that would leave behind iconic and accomplish moments in their lives.

This is why Japan rejects modern western culture.

@allpackagaming9811
It went from "i actually want a kid now" to " screw humanity, screw the world. Screw everything!"

@ddduelist
First add. It made me wish, even for a brief period, to have a family of my own and even go out for burgers and some fries, even though I rarely eat at fast food joints

Second add. I lost my appetite and the will to socialize with people

@alanxu3936
It has given me the will to socialize with like-minded men. So we can orchestrate a coup to end this madness.

@PatrickSmyers-gl5st
I love the Japanese ad. It makes me want to take my family out to dinner. Companies need to stay out of politics. You are going to offend someone. Get back to showing how the company can make your day better. Life is good and McDonald’s made mine happier. Thank you McDonald’s!!!

@nicholasbarbee2374
Y'know, I don't like McDonald's as much to begin with. But at least one of these Ads has the decency to try and remind me of a time I enjoyed their food the most. Namely as a kid.

But I'll give America's version this: It's Ad feels more accurate to what the food represents. Part of which is guilt and unhealthiness.

@diegobrando3871
Man that japanese ad is the dream, i know that it's probably too good to be true in today's society but i will be perfectly satisfied if my life is anything close to that

@GoBuddieGo
You can slap that second clip onto any major company, business, whatever as an ad and it wouldn’t make a difference. It could have been fucking Olive Garden with that ad and I still wouldn’t give a shit.

But that Japanese McDonald’s ad did its job, made me want it and I don’t even like McDonald’s.

@Stardian
I'd rather corporations not pretend to care about social issues and just try to use mascots and stuff like they did back in the 90s and 2000s. It doesn't make them look like they care about social issues they only claim to care about for monetary reasons.

@CrayonEater2003
It's no wonder why sane Americans are so enthralled by Japanese media, it's such a breath of fresh air.

@greyfox79007
Because it tries to sell you something, versus guilt you into buying it, or else be labeled.

@pennysanchez7656
Dude, this Japanese ad is literally wholesome as hell, why the hell are people having beef over it is beyond me.

@Kuraimizu9152
Because it reminds them of what they will never have.

@rayanna7188
Ikr, I actually wouldn't wanna skip the Japanese McDonald's ad
