Hollywood makes films for consumption of viewers in West only. And the Western people don’t want to see the beautiful sceneries, sky-rising buildings, great bridges etc. which they already have in plenty in their Countries ; they want to see dust, pollution, chaos and feel amused to see how the people from other part of the World live.
I was surprised to learn that one of our foreign guest from Company Headquarter was more interested to see Cows on the roads than the swanky place where I took him for Dinner. He only told me they wish to see what they can’t find in their Country.
So, Hollywood filmmakers would mostly show India in negative sense (Cows on the road etc.) and with all the dusky environment (as if we breathe soil instead of air). They are still charmed with Snake charmers and so on.

I simply chuckle at their ignorance and lack of self awareness along with how limited their world view really is ,if they ask you politely explain then let them figure it out for themselves if they fail to understand .Plus you cannot blame them cause that's what they been fed to perceive ,it's like how Indians think USA is the bomb !!!when actually it is not what they portray it to be by media all sunny beaches ,prosperity ,bikini clad hot bods ,suntanned life guards ,the white picket fenced house ,you will be horrified if u see the apathy and homelessness there ,do not get me started on how some subway stations in New York stink of piss and you got poop used for street art by methheads too just google Skidrow you will be surprised .Seattle is battling a real estate crisis where home owners are in conflict with homeless folk cause their presence is lowering their real estate valuation in an already sad housing market .
Till you actually visit ,live and exist for while in a particular place you will never truely understand what's happening .If you go as tourist your perception will never change cause you wanna see what you been sold all this while .

More often than not, India is portrayed as a poor, dirty and crowded country in Hollywood movies. Am I hurt because of that as an Indian? Not much, because this is our reality. This might hit you hard, but our country is indeed poor and dirty. Lakhs of people in our country sleep on the road, and tens of lakhs live in the slums. I am not saying that there is no poverty in America, but I am just pointing out the fact that our country does have all the problems shown in those Hollywood movies.
Is it something to be sad of? No, I do not think so. I think this just gives us more opportunity to improve. We have the highest amount of young generation in the world, and if we work together with the aim of developing this nation, we could change how the world perceives this country in the next 10 years. Will Hollywood still show us as poor and dirty then? I do not think so. And the change has already started, my friends. India is developing at a faster rate than any other country in this world. We just have to keep improving, and soon, we would be #1!

East is full of population explosion and illegal immigrants by Bangali's cm as gift to us.
