我无法形容第一次看到这部电影时的激动心情。11-12岁那年，我看完那部传奇的《魔戒》电影后，去家附近的一家小书店淘到了《霍比特人》的中文版。有趣的是那本书正在打折，而且很便宜，当时有很多同人小说，我没想到《霍比特人》是真正的原创故事。但因为便宜，所以我可以用不吃课后零食省下来的钱来买。当我读完这本书后，我觉得它简直太棒了，其中的冒险和战斗都讲得非常棒，这让我希望有公司能根据这本"同人小说"拍一部电影。
10年后，当我读完大学的最后一年时，这一切发生了。我当然看了这部电影，我非常激动和自豪，因为我竟然还记得很多情节，有些场景和我13岁时想象的非常相似。我好几次都流泪了。
我只想对J.R.R.托尔金、所有制作这些电影的人以及那位书店老板说声谢谢。这是人生中独一无二的经历，我真的很幸运能经历这一切。
再次感谢大家，祝愿你们都能过上幸福安宁的霍比特人的生活。

This battle still makes one emotional. They realized, in the end, they had a common enemy. So, instead of fighting petty squabbles over shinies, the banded together to fight for their people. Excellent series! The entire thing from The Lord of the Rings to The Hobbit. Beautifully done!

I love the elves!!! Their preciseness and discipline is amazing to watch. Even when the dwarves broke their line, they were fluid in reforming their lines and allowing their archers to do the work. I wish there were more movies that portrayed the elves in this way!!

Y’all are really making me emotional right now, if one of us start a movie/show we’re all gonna be in it, I never been so relatable to other people and it just makes me happy cause I though I was being weird, I love y’all

I loved it when they suddenly worked together to defeat their true enemy. They just fought side by side as if nothing was.
Oh and of course the Eagles they are the best.

I just love how the elf come to aid dwarf army's when they thought they would fight the enemy alone since they both fight each other before, they are as fearless as dwarf but also very tidy in their action, in the battle of Helms Deep too, it just very epic how they suddenly come out from behind in line

I can't describe how much excitement I got when I first saw this. When I was 11-12 after I watched that legendary LOTR movie, I went to a small bookshop near my home and found the Chinese version of The Hobbits. Funny thing is that book was on sale and quite cheap, at that time there were many fanfiction books and I didn't expect that "The Hobbit" was a true original story. But as it's cheap so I can afford it by skip some after school snacks. After I finished that book, I thought it's crazy good, the adventure and battle are so well told that made me wish if any company could make a movie based on this "fanfiction book".
10 years later, when I was finishing my last year in university, this happened. I watched it of course, and I was so excited and proud because surprisingly I can still remember many plots and some of the scenes are very similar as I imagined in my 13 year old head. I was in tears several times.
I just want to say thank you to J.R.R Tolkien, to all the people who made these movies, and to that bookshop owner. This is one of a kind life experience, and I am really lucky experienced all these.
Thank all of you again, and wish you all a happy Hobbit life in peace.

If middle earth was united as one alliance from different kingdoms. The battles between orcs should have been different and ended quickly. I mean all of their strategies, positions, techniques, weapons, tactics, abilities and all types of war are truly a legendary sight! It is amazing!

even with all its weaknesses, the hobbit trilogy was truly a worthy successor to the amazing LOTR imo. I'm happy that I went through a 20h marathon once watching them all in chronological order. this battle was epic!
