This is absolutely priceless. The work you put into this space created an entire ecosystem for the native flora and fauna in your area. I wish every somewhat large landowner would use a small section of their property for native wildlife regeneration like this if they could afford the space to do so.

@joehamiltonsongs
Fantastic contribution to wildlife/humanity. I am a Scotsman living in the southern Alps of Austria and we‘re transforming our terraced garden slowly but surely into something for the birds/insects/ bees, lizards / snakes and frogs that have been here long before any humans. This video is very inspiring. Love and respect !!

@AlvinwChannel
The video is virusly spreading in Chinese social media with Chinese subtitle. It inspired a huge amount of population on earth to rethink the balance between human and the nature. Thanks Stefano, you did a wonderful job, not only how enjoyful the lens is telling, but also how elegant the transcxts is written.

This got me teary-eyed for some reason, if only every person on this planet makes an extra effort to care for it then it can create an impact big enough to sustain a healthy environment both for humans and wildlife. Good job man!

@Alvi
The fact that you not only did something wholesome but also you observed meticulously the ecosystem you created and represented it to us is just true finesse.

@nicotron1
So many of these species, be it bugs, birds, or animals, all resemble so closely what me and my family have in our area in Iowa! It got me more than a little teared up to see all of these happy, healthy creatures living in your area. I so deeply appreciate you accepting every single living thing that showed up. No fear of bees, snakes, or anything that is sometimes stigmatized by people. You are in all senses of the title, you are a wildlife rescuer.

@tomshoe9607
I'm trying to find more videos like this one, but I just can't seem to find anything anywhere near to quality of this one. The details in which you describe the native flora and fauna and covering them over such long periods of time is just so fascinating! The editing and narration is so good you have somehow made the nature that is available to us everyday seem so interesting. Never in my life would I think I would be so invested in a pond in some guy's backyard!

@TheGeekMonster
It's been my lifelong dream to own a little property and just fill it with wildlife-friendly plants and water features, and create my own park-like space. This video was so gratifying to watch. And congratulations on adopting Sparrow! A nice, happy ending <3

@AlphaHomeDC
That's a nice pond there! Im starting a homestead and our land has an existing pond but it's completely dried now. The liner you put in there helps retain the water. I will use that idea.

@teteart5850
Oh Stefano, this has to be one of the most beautiful wildlife videos on the Internet!!! Thank you ever so much for all the time and effort you put into making it. It is simply wonderful and I will be watching it again,and again and again no doubt, the pictures are so lovely. Well done you :)

@johannathatsall
I love this so much It brings tears to my eyes! Thank you for caring enough about creatures to build a habitat for them.
I live in an apartment so I can't but when I have land I will check your videos to help me do the same. Animals need so much protection, they're so precious!

@L3FT2BURN
My grandpa accidently made a wildlife pond like this once. He dug a hole to make a pool but never got around to finishing it. When he finally got around to finishing it 5 years later, the pond had filled with cat tails, frogs, dragonflies, you name it. Of course his was far less managed but I loved that pond, hearing the frogs at night was so peaceful.

@Nevermore941012
Amazing story, you are truly a filmmaker I’m very passionate about wildlife and it’s incredible how big an impact a “small” intervention could achieve. They say humans don’t play a part in nature’s balance but I love how while all the wildlife ran it’s course from plants to insects to birds, you also played a part in this circle of life trimming the weeds and cleaning the pond. Just goes to show how we all are connected through nature

@baronofderp719
This is stunning. The video is well crafted and carefully tailored. The progression and pacing is flawless. This truly felt like watching a short documentary with a large budget. The added bit of adopting the wild cat was also heartwarming. 11/10

Holy fuck. Tbh I don’t know what to say. This is literally the best, most creative and sweetest video I ever saw on YouTube. Please never stop those projects. Would love to get some upxes on the cat and the rest of the wildlife in the future. Thank you for your work!

@tinycotswoldcottage
I have been trying to attract more wildlife to my garden in the UK over the last few years too. Although my pond is small (probably only a metre abd a half), its been so encouraging seeing the wildlife grow from tiny springtails (my favourite) to damselflies in a lovely range of colours. Last year, I saw pond skaters abd water boatmen for the first time. I also have newts and frogs but, for some reason, the frogs have sadly died in the pond over the winter for the last two years and I am not sure why. Lots of birds visit it too. It's fascinating seeing the different species visiting your pond to mine, but equally fascinating seeing the ones that are the same.

@astaridjatmiko8187
Thank you for building a beautiful ecosystem ❤ it must feel great that all of the hard work get paid off. And i'm surprised that even a natural pond needs maintenance all the time. i wish i could do the same

@___DRIP___
You have an incredible way of telling a story both narratively and visually. It was easily one of the best videos I’ve watched in a few months. I really appreciate the work you’ve put into this video. It looks so rewarding to see your hard work flourish and for nature to take over the reigns. Balance is beautiful.

@zusibone
Watching from South Africa. Man this brought tears and warmth Watching how the eco system just worked well together in harmony. City life had us confused about real living. I'm more determined to go back to my ancestral land. I lived with my grandparents living on sustainable substance farming. We watched migrating birds and observed all year round all creatures. Some birds had metal plates on their legs. We used to catch them.Winter in the North is summer down south. Without fail those swallows and sparrows would show up. We even had Christmas birds. Nature is life. I miss that. City life is exhausting.

@jeffreykipperman6894
This was one of the most beautiful videos I've ever seen. This didn't even feel like a made for YouTube video, but rather something I'd see on the National Geographic channel. I grew up watching so many hundreds of science and nature videos on TV, including of course David Attenborough, and this video brought me back to that place. The shots, editing, and narrative are incredible, and you have the perfect soothing voice to bring the story to life. I can't wait for your next video, thank you!

@robertdowns2
I often struggle to get through 3 minute youtube videos given the pacing, quality and content of the video. I watched this one end to end and could have watched season 2 without a break. Great job telling the story, filming the animals and helping out wildlife in the process. Great stuff! Maybe 'make your own pond' can become a mantra for homeowners throughout the world!

@Android25K
I'm not interested in photography myself, but it's really interesting and cool to see animals in their natural (although artificial) habitat. Also, the fact that you decided to dedicate so much time into the pond is something I'm sure hundreds of animals appreciate even if they don't know it, good job man

@crisr.8280
I've heard of Nat Geo Photographers stalking their subject for months and even years just for a shot.
To see one person dedicating an equal, if not greater amount of effort for the land and the little critters is wonderfully inspiring to see.

@eyoung506
You deserve a medal for creating this wildlife pond. The benefits to the ecosystem were something to witness. This was beautiful from beginning to end. Videos like this are the best of what YouTube has to offer.

@MegaAlci
This is one of the most heartwarming and inspiring videos I've ever seen. And as I was watching, one of my kids came to tell me something but he was soon silent and glued to the chair till the end. I'll share this video with as many people as possible. Our First Home, this beautiful planet, and all the forms of life we share it with, deserve more humans like you. Lots of Love to you and everybody. goodvibes (Can hardly wait to see your next project, btw)

@small_juice_box
It just goes to show that when nature is given a chance it can grow back even better than before. Thank you for giving it that chance. Not only can countless species flourish, but you also have amazing subjects for photography! It's also great that you were able to adopt the kitty before the cold set in! ❤️

@susanajaz4107
Your filming of the successful influx of wildlife, I was entranced by all the development of the area you created. It has to be so rewarding in spite of all the hard work. It looks like it is increasingly getting better and better. You have an understanding of what is needed to make this work. I have enjoyed watching.

@TheZazaze
I rarely ever watch videos without skipping around anymore, yet this had my full attention start to finish, i even skipped back to see some of those shots again. This is beautiful and inspiring, almost has me emotional.

@lolitabonita08
If people start doing projects like yours Mother nature will be so happy.. Many years ago I was taking some agriculture classes at the University...one professor told us a story of a farmer who was frustrated by the critters eating his bounty and no matter what he tried they get to the vegetables, plants and fruit trees. So one day he was walking around his large property and then knowledge came to him... He started to prepare one acre of his property for planting...he prepare the plot as he was preparing his large farm operation, planted vegetables all over the place, fruit trees, flowers, place a bog feature, and small pond...he make a heaven for animals to enjoy. when all was done he stood up and shouted ..."this is just for all of u to eat, enjoy and live...Please stop eating my fruits , vegetables, trees and flowers I do not appreciate that" So he turned away and let nature do her thing...the first season he noticed a decrease on loses in his farm...the second season he noticed that the acre he planted for the animals was luscious and all the plants and trees were doing fantastic. Needles to say for his surprise from that point on never had issues with any critters coming and eat from his produce... Each year he just scatter seeds of vegetables as needed... and the story was a true story from a local farmer and friend of the professor. We humans destroy habitats, destroy food sources for the animals, and then we kill the poor critters because they "DARE" to eat our plants, fruits, and animals...How ignorant we are indeed.
