First of all it's not all of the Indians who want go to the US, it is rather few of them who want to go and there are few reasons for that:
Corruption which prevail in india.
Many people feel that their capabilities are not efficiently utilised in this country (which is quite true)
Better standard of living that US offer as compared to India (and who does not want it)
Lack of infrastructure in India.

Various other issues like reservation system etc.
Ease of doing business in india is still not in par with US.
But what I personally feel that rather then leaving your country in this situation, we should try to improve it.
India is one of the victim of BRAIN DRAIN which is certainly acting as a roadblock in its way towards development.
In last decade india has improved a lot in terms of few parameters but still there are other issues which still needs improvement.

Why do most of the Indians flee to US?
Last I checked, there were more than 140+ Million Indians in India and only 3+ Million in US. So, most Indians didnt 'flee' to the US yet.

Why are Indians very enthusiastic to go to U.S?
Its has been shown like a place of heaven in movies
It offers many students to study their
Many people cannot afford air tickets n its like luxury

Many people think of economy try do business their
Many people think its best place to earn n settle down their
Many people thonk they can earn better money their
These were common points which makes an average indian think about usa

Indians wants to go to the USA because the living standards of USA is high. And Indians who are qualified enough have a lot of chances of going to USA.Besides, Indians are not the only people who are going. There are also many people coming from undeveloped/developing countries.

Why do people, especially Indians, want to live in the US?
Not all Indians to be sure. However a small fraction of Indians is still very large number. For most Indians access to education, health and economic well being is still a challenge. Many of them have heard of US, but living in US would be not on their “to do” list. Having said that US is a leader in tech and innovation and thus attracts talent across the Globe. It also attracts investors from across the globe. Only way it can change is when US decides that it no longer needs foreign capital of labour.

Why do most of the Indians flee to US?
Well, not most. Some. Some who are lazy. Some who are mediocre. Some who wants life easy. Some who likes discipline.
Contrary to the popular perception, actually all round top performers stay in India. Typical academic toppers prefer going abroad. And you know academic toppers are mediocre - performance wise.
To survive in India you need to be on your toes. You need to compete with IIM guys or wannabe IIM guys. Guys who didn't get IIM by .1 percentile. Life is tough here.

Here people thrive on chaos. Ask similar aged people who live in Hyderabad and NJ to compare the traffic and life. Here we bunk work to see Pawan Kalyan movie. There they have to ride cars in a lane - uh! how dumb. Here we will even ride cars on pavements. Indisciplined people will be successful here. Juggad.
Actually trasport all the dumb-studious-type-getting-up-at-5-going-work-coming-home-eat-with-mom types to USA. Transfer all the fucking creative genius type who cannot pay their tuition fees to India. They will enjoy life here.

Are Indian people who settled in the USA happy?
Happiness is a wider perspective, it has nothing to do where do you live. It’s not people only in USA are happy. You could be in Kenya and more happy then someone living is Las Vegas. …
Places don’t make you happy and places can’t bring you happiness.
It’s your life and people around you, you have a great family around you , good health , kids , decent settled life , contentment, your friends , active social life , relatives, sport activity , other extra curricular activities. Doing something productive , trying to achieve something in life .. working towards it. Something to look forward every day.. that’s what is happiness

Life is just not leaving everything and running towards Usa , I know people who have left everything for a this stupid American dream to live there , trust me they live such a pathetic lonely sad life. Specially people who obxtive is only to F1- then H1B - then green card - citizenship.. they spend quality 15 years of their life with only obxtive how to get Usa passport. There is nothing else in their life , then there are people who go on B1/B2 , they live the most pathetic life. They live a fugitive life for years and years under cover, alwasy scared of being caught , don’t stay late night , don’t travel by flight to other state for holiday. Avoid police all the time. Because they don’t want to be caught and then the worse , they can’t meet their family , parents , relatives , friends for years and years. Most of the time they can’t even attend their parents funerals, Why ? because they can’t go back to their home country , they sacrifice all this this single American dreams , they live the most horrible lonely life.

You need to make something out of your life. Work towards to achieve somehthjng in life. You need to work in any place all over the world. Nothing is free and nothing comes easy and nothing is given in a platter. Money doesn’t grow on trees in USA or fall from the sky in rain. You have to slog infact life is more difficult there.

I am not saying people in USA are not happy, happiness comes from inside , if you think and proud of what you are doing where ever you are, happiness comes from within the content attitude. Happiness could also comes from loving your own country and try to achieve something for yourself and for your own country instead cursing it and running away from it just for few years of assumed fancy life.
But well everybody may not agree with my opinion, this is very personal views. I don’t mean to hurt anyone sentiment by expressing myself.

Very correct. Many people think USA is heaven. Once they reach “heaven”, they become disillusioned. And by that time they are helpless. They keep changing jobs and moving from one rented apartment to another. They want to bring their aged parents to US to look after their children, because maids and baby-sitters have to be paid more than their own salary. Then the parents feel uncomfortable and fall sick because they are not used to such extreme weather. Then they have to pay through their nose because medical care is extremely expensive without insurance. Unless you are a professional with very high qualification and your field of specialization is in some area where there is acute shortage in the US.

The most underrated answer on Quora. Dear Sir, you have defined the meaning of life. Thanks!

Happiness runs on 4 wheels money is one of them truly living in USA means your average standard of living will be better than average standard of living in India. However what is also important is how physically fit you are . For that it is not important you should be staying in USA. Socialising is third wheel of happiness and here personally I feel for families & friends to be integrated you don’t really have to be in USA. Finally the fourth wheel of happiness is your charitable self how much you give out small or big does not matter. For that again you really really need not be in USA.

Being good student of happiness will socialise anywhere does not matter.
USA has its strength average income is higher and good social environment for charity. Having said this with decent income you can be happy anywhere in the world.

Very well written answer. True to the core. Happiness lies in the way we see things.

Then why you people can't leave the USA. After facing all these situations why do want to be the part of America.

Some are, some not so much. Happiness depends on finding expression for your creativity. Most Indians are enamoured with the lifestyle in US. Most important of these are:
Being able to afford big houses, perhaps better than what INR salary vs Indian Real estate prices will get you
Driving luxury cars or let's say cars which are luxury for most of the middle class in India
Excellent road and organized traffic
Better work life balance
Most importantly, better paycheck and saving, thanks to dollar to Inr conversion

But these are the reasons why despite everything mentioned above, some people are unhappy
The C suite level in any corporate is hard to climb for most immigrants. Most organizations are not meritocratic and run on old boys network
Green card wait means hardly any opportunity to be the master of your own destiny. So can't start a company and often remain stuck doing uninspiring work. Visa troubles also mean less flexibility and opportunities available for job change

Subtle racism in most public offices. Although most people are seemingly decent and polite but there is always subtle discrimination whether you go to public office, airport, restaurants. It is not so much because of skin color but rather due to accent, which gives away that a person is not an American born
Lot of women have to give up career primarily because its expensive to hire help. Also, visa restrictions like H4
As children grow up, they tend to imbibe more American values and thought process which many Indian parents find hard to reconcile with

So, the answer depends on what are ones priorities. If it's just comfortable life, then sure US is a great place where even a middle class person can live a life surrounded with comfort
If a person is ambitious and wants to be the owner of his own destiny, then I highly doubt it.
