Not for me. The screens will never be as durable as tablets. I use my ipad for drawing, and a foldable is just not good for that. Anythings else, okay. Maybe

I had an iPad Air and without the keyboard using it was super uncomfortable and now I have a samsung fold and this is a huge difference for plus.

It’s bad enough fingernails can scratch those screens it’s not a replacement for a phone and those creases are just god awful after even 6 months I swear 99% of people commenting have never actually owned a foldable. They’re useless crap you need to baby hardcore to keep from turning to junk

I have a Galaxy Fold Z 5 and love it. This Huawei looks great and it maximizes what I love about foldable, phone when I need it, mini-tablet when I need that. I hope this model encourages more competition in the foldable market. I would definitely go tri-fold.

Looks cool, can’t argue with that. The biggest issues I see here could be battery life (so many pixels to light up!) and exposed edge of the front screen.

Obviously it’s not an everyday practical everyday use type of phone, but I don’t think that’s what Hauwei was going for, they literally created this foldable phone to show the possibilities of future innovation. Kudos to Hauwei.

Imagine Huawei without sanctions and this phone can be developed and released with collaborations of new gen Snapdragon chip made by TSMC, new Samsung screen, joint efforts from Google Android for this new form factor, heck throw in OpenAI with server side nVidia GPU farm, what a dream world for consumers. At bare minimum it'd push Apple to innovate harder too.
