After northern China, I traveled to xinjiang again, this time to China's most isolated Village in the middle of Taklamakan Desert, Dailyabuyi. In this region there is only one river nourishing the cattle and providing a livelihood to the villagers. The region is so remote that there is no phone signal, and electricity solely comes from solar panels.
The road to Daliyabuyi is sandy and not paved, there is very little traffic and some need to be careful to not lose orientation. Conditions are harsh, and distances long, but the landscape and hospitalty of the locals is just outstanding.

If not for Yan's channel, we'll never get to see these corners of China. No vloggers will go to these out of the way places except her. Please keep up the good work. These are precious documentaries.

@scottgordon1781
Going to these places is I think , somewhat ' restricted ' .Sadly . Nice to see the beauty of the land and the smiles of the people .

@multiplierfx6429
@scottgordon1781 No, it's not. Any tourist can just drive there without any permit. Just because your media make you think that way doesn't make it a reality.

This channel is better than any bbc, national geographic or discovery channel "documentary". Just facts and no bs.

@stevezodiacXL5
I was literally just thinking the same thing!
I grew up on watching English blokes on the BBC travelling round, telling us all about things they probably only discovered on Wikipedia the day before!
So much better to get Yan's perspective - this is her own country.
And I don't think the editing and drone shots are as good as channels like the BBC, I think they are BETTER!
With a fraction of big media resources, Yan shows us things we just wouldn't see otherwise, and the images are so beautiful.

My mind has blown up. I am shocked at the diverse cultures within China. The people, the history that comes within your videos just stun me. I am truly amazed how there is a town in a middle of a desert in China. No satellite, no petrol stations on the way there. I have goosebumps on my skin. Thankyou for showing us so much education of China that we had no idea existed.

@johnhunady3526
Loved this video. A long time ago, in 1966, my Geography professor at East LA College in Los Angeles discussed the Tarim Basin and the Turfan Depression in China. So, thanks to you dear lady, I FINALLY get to see it. In those days, China was supposed to be off limitsi for Americans. But now, you are my eyes ! Always appreciated and I love what you do !

@maqaroon
I feel that only in China can you find a male driver over xiaohongshu, end up having a blast on a multi-day road trip whilst feeling perfectly safe as a solo female traveller.

@lzasnw
There’s 0 chance you’d make it to your destination alive if it were the US

@Guard-Reg
Only a young Chinese lady like yourself can produce such a wonderful documentary. Thank you very much.

@Scanjob
Great pictures of the landscape and interesting people and their cultures.
The village looks a bit like StarWars, houses made of clay and modern technology like solar panels and air conditioning.
China is so divers and interesting, thank you for showing us
Greetings from Germany

Some of those roads took me back to the fifteen years I lived in Northern Uganda. The landscape, people and food are different, but driving those roads looked very familiar! Thanks for another fabulous video opening up your country for those who have never been able to visit.

@elavarasand9660
Hi I am from Tamil Nadu. Thank you for making beautiful videos about unseen places. For me China is unseen. Your presentation of landscape is very nice and you are creating a record of time. Your view of different cultures is great and matured. Your English is clear simple and make every one to understand. Keep posting. God bless you a healthy and happy life.

Excellent video. Yes I like the out of the way places. Living in Australia I have travelled the back country. Drove 12 hours to get to a town and never saw another car on the road. I know what big empty country is like, you have to be self sufficient when travelling these areas in Australia because you may not see another car for days.
I remember back in the 70's me and the brother in-law had to wait 2 days for a helping hand because the car broke down. Lucky we were on a well travelled road.

I am probably never going to get a chance to visit such remote places in China. So thank you so much for bringing us along with you. The desert landscape is gorgeous. And I am surprised to learn that there are rivers flowing into the desert. I have new appreciation for the red dates from China's xinjiang area

@tdeo2141
Same here. I admire her adventurous spirit and courage to go to these remote places, placing herself under the care of people she’s never met before!
And the she shares her adventures with us, indeed it’s great.

Dear Yan thanks for the wonderful excursion through the desert of xin Jiang. The epic ink jade stone market with funny bargains, the famous cotton fields, fruits and pulled noodles, delicacies along the travel.The simple village deep into the desert has very friendly folks pet birds and animals. I love your incredible adventures around China and the world. God bless your hard work with good health and happiness. ❤☺️The palm rattan is used for walls baskets furniture, it is more flexible than bamboo.

@twilightpurpleglow
Nihao Yan.....Hello Yan Your desert video is epic. First of all I enjoyed traveling to xinjiang very interesting, the people, culture food and I love the way you explain things along the way.
I have never seen a Jade Market, so it was interesting the interaction with the sales people. Hotan Jade in Moyu, so educational. I must say did Mr. Dong; your driver know what he was in for? oh my goodness, I was thinking, no way would I drive into the Taklamakan Desert. YAN you are the window that opens up into a world so few know or will ever know, just fabulous. No gas stations of course in the middle of nowhere it's understandable. Super interesting the Village Daliayabuyi, the journey looks like it took for ever to get there. Your Drone scenes and music was a delight. I congratulate the local Government who built a hotel to "attract off the road enthusiast and adventurers" "to improve local income". How can people live so isolated, but this is their life, what they know and they are happy. I hope the Keriya River never runs dry, all those goats and sheep need it. Fascinating travel to the far corners of the world, places we now can enjoy/see/learn from the comfort of our homes. Stay safe Yan, happy and healthy. From Texas USA "zaijian or bai bai" goodbye friend.

@Herhohu
I am watching your videos since the one in Georgia and can just say, that you are the best ambassador for China. In the west we only hear about the bad stuff of your country. But you show us the ordinary everyday live of this huge place and its people. Your channel deserves wy more attention.

I read a report recently ,parts of the Sahara Desert had snow for the first time EVER . Isn't that incredible? You told us in one of your fabulous videos previously Yan that there are banana trees that grow in a certain part of icy Tibet ...what a wonderful , diverse and extraordinary world we have ..don't we ? Very best wishes and Merry Christmas to you Yan ,from Scotland . You are the gift that continues to give ...a perpetual Christmas present . Thank you.

@telisijohn2054
This is probably the 10th or 11th video of yours that I've watched. I am speechless. You are amazing woman and your drone shots, back ground music choice is gorgeous and stunning. The places you are traveling to are just beautiful as the people in it and your interaction with the locals is the icing on the cake. Peace and love from a man on the other side of world.Subscribed and liked with a giant thumbs up.

Good evening, I just accessed YouTube and saw your videos. I have a dream of visiting China. I hope one day to have the financial means to visit it. China is very beautiful. I was watching your video about the Tiber. Now I'm watching your video about the desert. Congratulations on the excellent video. I'm from Brazil . Congratulations and success on your journey. A hug from Brazil .

@LavendelNorthlight
Thank you so much for this episode, I‘ve enjoyed it immensely. For me, the Taklamakandesert was/is mystical. Seeing you there, driving through it was special. How you teamed up with the other car, I imagine it was like that in the very old days, when caravans made their way there. Safety in numbers. Looking forwards to the next episodes.
