I truly miss the old locomotive that runs on steam engine, it's a classic locomotive. Early in the days we can hear that chug-chug-chug, toot toot toooooot approaching train. Such a warm greeting from that train.

In my opinion, the Chinese side will reconsider collaborating with the Malaysian authorities because the level of train passengers there is less than the very large number of public passengers in Indonesian and the Chinese side doesn't want to lose money and repeat the same mistake in the construction of 'Forest City' which became a ghost town in that country

Japan is building MRT in Jakarta. Phase 1 is finished and they are constructing 2nd phase. Japan should concentrate on MRT projects and forget about HSR

After all with the exception of Singapore, the rest of the ASEAN members do not have any real interests in the shipping industry; hence the rail lix should contribute to the revenues of the members involved. At the rate things are developing, my guess is China may just get Myanmar to settle in and build the Kunming-Kyaukphyu lix to solve her connections to Africa, thereby by-passing the Kunming-Singapore lix!
