The other thing to remember is that this will also be working alongside every other American fighter. The F-15 and F-16 will still be in service for I'd guess 2 more decades. While the F-47 and F-35 fly ahead dealing with enemy stealth fighters and destroying enemy SAMs, the older fighters will be behind them literally just as missile trucks that can be coordinated by the F-47. On top of their fleets of loyal wingmen. Truly crazy.

So far there are a lot of snide remarks about Boeing. I've worked in the US defense industry since the mid 90s and can verify that Boeing defense is both a large contractor and a formidable competitor to all the biggies like NG and LM. In fact, Boeing was the prime that competed with my company, NG, for the Sentinel ICBM and the B-21 programs. Boeing defense is a major player and a competent one.

People forget that around 1970, there were crashes with fatalities literally monthly just within the US and far more abroad. Read Wikipedia and start at Jan 1 of any year before 1975 or so, drink a shot for each fatal air crash, and you will not make it to the end of the year before you pass out. And for every fatal accident there were multiple accidents without fatalities. Now we travel 10x more passenger-miles and there have only been 4 crashes with fatalities in the last quarter-century other than 9/11. Of those 4, 1 was Boeing, 1 Airbus, 1 Bombardier, 1 British Aerospace. Even respected aircraft experts like Greg's Airplanes and Automobiles say with disdain that if Mr. Boeing himself was around he'd be shocked to see the state of Boeing's safety record--and they're right but not in the way they think. Mr. Boeing would call you a liar when you told him how phenomenally safe air travel is today. It's literally thousands of times safer than the safest car on the highways, for instance, and safer than trains.

the issue with the F-35 was there were to many people asking for different variations of the same thing. So the marine VTOL is different than the Air forces and so on. Some of them so much where even the airfrx isn't the same so a Marine one cannot be swapped with an Air Force one. They essentially created 2-3 versions of the F-35 that are not compatible with each other.

I live in the North East & love aviation. Im almost certain I've head one flying over late at night a year or so back. Never heard any jet ever sound anything like it. Clear night's this happened 3 times, it sounded like the most insane low audible rolling thunder in the upper atmosphere that lasted for a good 3 minutes, you could tell it was going from horizon to horizon too.

The drones would have to have the same combat radius as the f-47, would have to keep up with it and would have to be the same or better level of stealth ++ or whatever they want to call it. Otherwise the mission would be restricted to only what the drones could manage

Make some of those drones refueling tankers, and they really extend their range. I could see jets with limited weapons taking a few fuel drones to shuttle them from the Continental US bases to Guam.

The F-22is primarily a BVR platform. Yes, it’s a great aerobatic mount but if properly deployed, the opposition will never see what hit them. The 22 then drops back and acts as a networked AWACS coordinate fifth gen assets thus becoming a force multiplier. Enter the latest iteration of the F-15 as a missile truck. A friend is one of three pilots to fly the YF-22 and the YF-23. There were some flaws in each but there were some configuration problems with the 23. Other than that, the programs were priced differently. The 22 was over a billion cheaper, initially.

operational by 2028? I have no doubt that it’s full operational now. The F117 1st flight was in 81’ entered service in 83’ and wasn’t publicly acknowledged until 88’ where its production phase was in 90’ and in Desert Storm in 91’. If there is one thing I know, the military likes to stick to its processes and time lines. Much like the full acknowledgement of the F117, it wasn’t acknowledged for 7 years after its first flight l, “that we know of” F35 is what? 19 years old by now. Of course something has been in development within that 19 years time frx.

I think other countries capabilities in this sector were vastly inflated in the video. China hasn’t even developed a 5th gen fighter that’s seen mass production. The Russian 5th gen has like 10 planes total. Just because Chinese planes are tailless it doesn’t mean automatic 6th gen. EU being mentioned is a joke on its own.

The stealth planes are all so expensive to maintain. Every time they fly the skin needs to be inspected for any defects, hitting an insect is bad, hitting a bird is terrible. This new experimental engine sounds like a nightmare to maintain. They may be technically able to make it do the things he spoke about, but each flight may need a week of maintenance before the plane can fly again. The B2 and F22 have shown how much maintenance these stealth planes need. I think drones are cheaper and seem to be the way of the future. $300 million each is just too expensive, and that number could become much worse.

It's modeled after the Chinese J 50.. but unfortunately the Chinese have a 5 year head start.. In head to head simulations the Chinese J 50 took out 6 F22's and 7 F35's. In under 4 minutes.

I guess the best airfrx would be a cross between the F22 and the F15, it does always make me laugh when they show vids of the fighter with drone swarms, either the fighter is going ridiculously slow for those drones, or those drones are not going to last very long with the very limited distance they will be able to travel. Unless they have made drone engines the best engines in the world

你不妨去维基百科上查证一下,随便挑一个 1975 年之前的年份,从 1 月 1 日开始,每看到一起致命空难就喝一杯酒,那你绝对撑不到年末就会醉得不省人事。
而且,每发生一起致命空难,就会伴随多起人员死亡的飞行事故。
如今,航空客运周转量已经增长了十倍,可在过去的四分之一个世纪里,除了“911” 事件之外,全球范围内仅发生了 4 起致命空难。
这 4 起事故涉及的机型,分别出自波音、空客、庞巴迪和英国宇航这四家公司。

the issue with the F-35 was there were to many people asking for different variations of the same thing. So the marine VTOL is different than the Air forces and so on. Some of them so much where even the airfrx isn't the same so a Marine one cannot be swapped with an Air Force one. They essentially created 2-3 versions of the F-35 that are not compatible with each other.

I live in the North East & love aviation. Im almost certain I've head one flying over late at night a year or so back. Never heard any jet ever sound anything like it. Clear night's this happened 3 times, it sounded like the most insane low audible rolling thunder in the upper atmosphere that lasted for a good 3 minutes, you could tell it was going from horizon to horizon too.

The drones would have to have the same combat radius as the f-47, would have to keep up with it and would have to be the same or better level of stealth ++ or whatever they want to call it. Otherwise the mission would be restricted to only what the drones could manage

Make some of those drones refueling tankers, and they really extend their range. I could see jets with limited weapons taking a few fuel drones to shuttle them from the Continental US bases to Guam.

The F-22is primarily a BVR platform. Yes, it’s a great aerobatic mount but if properly deployed, the opposition will never see what hit them. The 22 then drops back and acts as a networked AWACS coordinate fifth gen assets thus becoming a force multiplier. Enter the latest iteration of the F-15 as a missile truck. A friend is one of three pilots to fly the YF-22 and the YF-23. There were some flaws in each but there were some configuration problems with the 23. Other than that, the programs were priced differently. The 22 was over a billion cheaper, initially.

operational by 2028? I have no doubt that it’s full operational now. The F117 1st flight was in 81’ entered service in 83’ and wasn’t publicly acknowledged until 88’ where its production phase was in 90’ and in Desert Storm in 91’. If there is one thing I know, the military likes to stick to its processes and time lines. Much like the full acknowledgement of the F117, it wasn’t acknowledged for 7 years after its first flight l, “that we know of” F35 is what? 19 years old by now. Of course something has been in development within that 19 years time frx.

I think other countries capabilities in this sector were vastly inflated in the video. China hasn’t even developed a 5th gen fighter that’s seen mass production. The Russian 5th gen has like 10 planes total. Just because Chinese planes are tailless it doesn’t mean automatic 6th gen. EU being mentioned is a joke on its own.

The stealth planes are all so expensive to maintain. Every time they fly the skin needs to be inspected for any defects, hitting an insect is bad, hitting a bird is terrible. This new experimental engine sounds like a nightmare to maintain. They may be technically able to make it do the things he spoke about, but each flight may need a week of maintenance before the plane can fly again. The B2 and F22 have shown how much maintenance these stealth planes need. I think drones are cheaper and seem to be the way of the future. $300 million each is just too expensive, and that number could become much worse.

It's modeled after the Chinese J 50.. but unfortunately the Chinese have a 5 year head start.. In head to head simulations the Chinese J 50 took out 6 F22's and 7 F35's. In under 4 minutes.

I guess the best airfrx would be a cross between the F22 and the F15, it does always make me laugh when they show vids of the fighter with drone swarms, either the fighter is going ridiculously slow for those drones, or those drones are not going to last very long with the very limited distance they will be able to travel. Unless they have made drone engines the best engines in the world
