As of 2026, the U.S. national debt has spiraled to a staggering $38 trillion, but the real danger isn't just the number, it’s who owns it. With global powers like Japan, China, and the EU holding trillions in "IOUs," the world's safest investment has become a geopolitical weapon. In today's epic new video, we explore the terrifying "Nuclear Option" of global finance: what happens if these nations press the "Sell All" button?

It is a very risky business, having an entire country built on nothing but debt and online advertising. Especially when you start to making threats to the people who own your debt.

@fatalshore5068
This is what is known as the 'find out' phase.

@hockysa
“US has never defaulted” no they just breached contract on their gold backed currency, effectively defaulting on the gold they owed.

@jsoe81657
So long story short, it would cause the dollar to due and cause hyperinflation.

@mickylee82
Hyperinflation, Zimbabwe style when it was cheaper to wipe your ass with banknotes than buy TP and needing wheelbarrows of cash for bread.

@CaptainHammerCorporateTool
The debt is out of control and neither party cares one bit. Guess who's going to suffer when it collapses? Not the politicians

@JustMe-pb9ep
at this point they dont even have to dump us treasuries, they simple have to not buy anymore to crash the us!

@MidnightM50
I worked in the world of UST for years within a Euro investment bank. This scenario would definitely be a 'nuclear option' of sorts for all parties. This would be the reset from H3LL!!

@what_went_wrongg
The global economy relies on the $38 trillion U.S. debt market as its only foundation. Relying on one 'risk free' rate is like building a massive structure with no backup supports. Once trust breaks, the collapse is total.

@kotigobba_Kiran
The worst thing is people will never know they are already in collapse, any small event will trigger cascading effect.

@mysteroy3k
Yea , but China backing their Yuan with Gold , and the rest of the world collecting gold and silver , so basically U.S is about to collapde

@nilstorngren9902
Nobody actually has to sell, the AI bubble bursting would de facto due the dollar so much that they would plummet and sky rocketing the interest rates, then any or all of above would follow.Just saying

@ivannightly1919
what do you mean IF they started to dump, they are worldwide dumping them steadily its just when will it become to late to stop. This is what happens when you start trade war with the world

@FernandoFalci
In 1971, USA decided to not convert USD to gold anymore. How long until they decide to stop converting T-Bills?

@bluegrassbluegrass1788
Gold (among all rare earth resources) will always rule. Always has… always will

@enryo3043
I would like to know, which clause in the US Constitution makes it "totally legal" for the government or feds, to steal freeze or destroy assets in foreign nations or domestically, outside or without, taxes, levy on debts, letters of marque and reprisal, or declaring war.

@gesilsampaioamarantesegund6692
Once upon a time the US didin't have a deficit, then it decided to cut taxes of rich people...

@sundaramsp4
Its not just about dumping US bonds my friends, if they stop buying fresh US Bonds, then also US Bonds suffer as supply will still get flooded. Trump has finally pulled the plug on US Future

@DennisLimCY
the biggest difference between the rich and poor is that the rich usually want to avoid pain. the poor live in pain daily. if hurting oneself can properly hurt the US, i am sure many poorer countries at one point, will give it a go. It is only pain and suffering, not something they don't know. it would be like a familiar hug from an old painful friend, but collectively the rich asshole will suffer a lot more.

@cruizrisner1472
Regardless of who the president was, war was always inevitable. We knew eventually China and Russia would want to jump and we were gonna be willing to jump too. Ukraine was just a test, and China just watched. Now they are getting ready. Trump already knows all this. Not because he is smart and foreseen it, but the US intelligence let him in on it as he is the president. This is why he got Maduro. This is why talking of Greenland. This is why Iran is falling. Making sure the enemies have no good local pro*es. * just started a purge of high ranking military members, probably because they weren't all on board. Russia, though looking weak, will ensure Europes little resources get nowhere. Key resource stranglehold will be the US with is high quality quartz, China will get taiwan with tsmc, and everyone will be fighting over what gas and oil there is.

@Desi_Xpress
Every war and terrorist organization created or funded directly or indirectly by USA.....

@gfan003
Japan is that likely candidate to sell it's trillion dollars worth of US debt to boost it's own currency the Yen as inflation hits bad.

@jb9770-r4i
America is like that dude that has the nicest cars, biggest home, travels to exotic destinations and BRAGS about all of it......but has no means to pay for it aside from the 20+ credit cards they hold that are at the max. Lol

@KyKingdom69
It would devastate everyone and cause massive unrest and instability across the globe. It would not just harm the U.S. it would hurt everyone to the point it would work itself out for the U.S. anyway if it played its cards right during it. It could lead to a world war. That is the problem with everyone and everything being so intricately entwined with the U.S. and the Dollar. To do so without wide spread issues, it would have to be a slow process over a long period of time. Which gives the U.S. the ability to curve or mitigate it anyway.

@JJs_playground
I always wondered why the US spends so much on their military. And the more you understand about the monetary system, the more you understand why.

@KalpeshPatel78
there ewas a time when people only spent what they earned. This will not end well for the countries... who knows, This kind of stuff can even lead to a world war.

@dadl13
"This would force the allies of China and America to choose sides" is funny because what allies does the US currently have?

@Someone78109
If a country to get rid us bonds it has not need for selling them. It’s just has to wait for 10 years and buying nothing new so the way you keep stable and you collect your money after the 10 years and then you are free of this.

@KK-ru3ht
It's weird how most of us living on Earth will never meet or even acknowledge each other's existence. For example, if you're reading my comment; this is probably the first and last time you'll ever see me

@niksmoret2744
True,for decades ericans lived on the world expenses by force,it's enough!Dump it!

@RyanIONIC
The most likely outcome is the EU limiting trade to the US and freezing out American Companies to cause economic hardship and deter the States

@baldyrisky
It wouldn't just hurt the us, it would hurt everyone. Small countries would collapse entirely, bigger countries would turn into third world countries. Etc etc. It's similar to Nuclear War, everyone would be hurting.

@whereisjustice5112
I dumped all my US dollar already and hold Gold and Yuan.

@Zeus1845
they would implode their own economies. people don’t seem to understand how intertwined the USA is with global commerce. what country has their navy patrol of 70-80% of the globes oceans to ensure trade continues unabated? the USA

@dcb_75
Ultimately countries don't need to dump all Treasuries, just some and the ripple effect will be enough to get the US to back off. Everything relies on consistency and it doesn't have to be a big change to have an impact. If Donnie wants to keep pushing, everyone selling off a little will rock the US - what do we care if it is a little rough for us too when we are already getting screwed over? But when the US dollar drops, inflation surges, etc America will care. And as more countries look to replace the US dollar, people won't be dependent on it.

@CcubedCast
For a country that arrests a lot of people creating Ponzi schemes, America was running the biggest one for the longest time.

@AB-vh3ik
If they sell all those bonds at bargain prices as the price will keep dropping as they sell and depress the price of the dollar in a fire sale they then need to put that money in another global currency bond market, whichever one they do that country will convert it by buying up the now cheap dollar bonds increasing the price of the dollar so the dollar will be back where it started except the countries that initially sold all their dollar bonds at bargain prices will be a lot poorer, learn something about finance before you sprout rubbish like this.

@freezee7547
Plot twist: how to scam the world economic by using US dollar by the world banks to gain advantages for their own sake.

@annunakian8054
It's funny when ppl talk about "our tax dollars" as if it's actually our money when it's not. The US has nearly $40 trillion in debt & no clue how to fund ballooning SS & Medicaid obligations in the future as the population gets older & older.

It's also funny how ppl think taxing the rich will solve everything. They could confiscate every billionaire's assets but it may not even cover the annual budget. Meanwhile, the driving force of the US economy, the innovators (not the workers sorry) would all leave the country. The US can't afford to make it rain any more. Also they will need citizens to carry their load & be more self-sufficient.

@robbiepemberton
The US has been in a dangerous situation for years. They sell their debt in bonds and therefore need to increase spending to increase the economy, then they sell more bonds and the cycle continues. The US should not be in debt period. When it collapses, and it WILL, the effects will be seen throughout the world by everybody...apart from the elites that are profiting from your enforced servitude to this debt. They are asset stripping every single tax payer in the world, not just in a few countries. The next world war should be the working man against the parasites that have robbed us all blind for generations.

@BJI82a
Why do I get the feeling that some of the other countries want this to happen just to get rid of Trump and see if the American people are smart and try to fix the big mess they elected. Also this could push a nationwide strike agenst the government cause nobody would want to work with such high prices and low currency and maybe it would also cause the IRS to go through a change or totally gone since most of our tax money isn’t going to places it should.

@randyt3558
As America tariffs every nation, every nation will trade less with the US. When you trade less with the US, the less you need their currency. Dumping US bonds isn't a malicious act. It's a re-balancing that the US itself, initiated.

@Day2DayStruggle860
For real though as a US citizen we need the reset the housing market is sky high and we rely on to many countries. We’ve lost our way and need to learn how to be self sufficient we are the home of the taxed and the land of the stressed

@squirrellymcbutterballs3510
The issue is not really these countries selling the treasuries. The issue is what happens if they don’t buy them? Spoiler alx: something very bad, if you live in the U.S. and/or rely on the dollar.

@watchvidjedi
until recently China had 2.3 trillion... Some EU governments have also sold us debt. I said this 20 years ago and have repeated it - if the world sold ALL of their us gov't debt in one go, sure WE would have a recession as a globe but the usa would become a third world country with weapons overnight. WW3 soon if that happens though

@sethsevaroth
The majority of our debt is self owned. Only around a quarter of the US debt is owned by international entities.
I read somewhere that the US military presence and based around the world is why the dollar has remained the reserve currency.
I mean what the US could do is use our military might to simply seize or bomb foreign oil wells and production and hand it over to US companies.
That would be enough to stop the rest of the world cold.
