There is one and only one single formula for success. Everything else you might have heard and read about it is a derivative and a variant of this formula.
The willingness to do what the other guy won’t.
So get off your lazy butt and start doing it. Dreams don’t make you successful, actions do.
Do you want to lose weight?
Hit the damn gym for 60 days straight.
Do you want to do well in that upcoming test/exam?
dexe all your social media, lock that phone away and study your butt off.
Do you want to grow in your career?

Stop wasting time looking for excuses and spend every waking minute delivering value to your company.
Socially awkward and want to make friends?
Stop hiding behind social media masks and discord servers and step out of your frigging room and go meet real humans.
The problem today is that most people expect success to come for free and are not willing to pay the cost it takes. Don’t be that person. Success only comes to those who relentlessly pursue it and are willing to do whatever it takes to get there.
“The only thing standing between you and your goal is the bullshit story you keep telling yourself as to why you can't achieve it.” - Jordan Belfort
Oh and don’t forget to keep smiling along the way… it makes the journey easier…
Thank you for reading. I hope I could help you ponder today. :)

What makes a cover letter stand out?
When you’re writing a cover letter, the little things can make a big difference. The better your letter is, the better your chances are of getting a job interview. Follow these tips for composing a winning cover letter, and you will increase your chances of landing the job you want.
Research and brainstorm
Before you start writing your cover letter, familiarize yourself with the role requirements. Read the job listing carefully and pull out the most important information. Then, spend time on the company’s website to get a strong sense of the company’s culture, values, and mission. Brainstorm the most effective way to communicate your suitability for the role in your cover letter. Brainstorming is a key part of the writing process.

Personalize your greeting
The first thing the recruiter or hiring manager will notice in your cover letter is whether you addressed it to them personally. It’s not always easy to find the recruiter’s or hiring manager’s name, but it’s always worth your time to directly address the person who will be making the hiring decision.
Grab the reader’s attention
Your cover letter needs to grab attention within the first sentence or two. Remember, the recruiter is going to be reading lots of cover letters that will contain pretty similar content. If your cover letter doesn’t captivate them from the get-go, you could get overlooked.
Show your enthusiasm about the role

Always keep your love life, bank account and your next move private.
When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you'll be successful.
It doesn't matter how strong your wings are. You'll never fly if you have regrets in life.
Every morning you have two choices: Either you wake up and chase your dreams or continue to sleep with your dreams.
Look up at the heaven and say: Its my turn to make history.
The more hours you work now, the more hours you'll get to chill later.
Life works best when you focus on where you are going.
Result happens overtime and not overnight. Work hard, stay consistent and have patience.

Accept failure. Everyone fails at some point of time but don't accept 'not trying’.
Cry as hard as you want, but make sure that when you stop crying, you never cry for the same reason again.
You are not a product of your circumstances. You are a product of your decision.
No matter how talented you are. Not everyone is going to like you. But that's life. Just stay strong.
There is no failure in life. Either you win or learn.
When you feel tired, just think about how great you will feel once you finally reached your goal.
No matter how much it hurts now. Someday you'll look back and realize, your struggle changed your life for better.
Just remember.
From Zero to Hero, Nothing to Something, Bottom to Top.
Here you come!

What are some things that you should do if you want to be successful?
Keep learning. Every so often ask yourself, “Am I still learning?” If not, then it is time to switch jobs or schools or the people you associate with. What kind of learning? Valuable learning is usually self-evident. Learning facts is useful, if the facts are important ones (the US banking system, for example, vs the batting averages of baseball players). Skills are important, and similarly to facts, you can tell what’s important (e.g learning how to be a manager, or writing better or record keeping, vs less important skills such as found in many hobbies).
Every year I ask myself, “Did I learn more this last year than in the previous one?” If the answer is “no”, then I am doing something wrong. Learning is one of the greatest joys in life. Watch the joy when you teach a kid how to ride a bike; giving him some ice cream is nothing compared to helping him learn that skill.
Keep learning. People will notice, and opportunities will appear out of nowhere.

If you could only give one piece of advice for being successful, what would it be?
When you think something new, you get excited. You want to try the new thing, you want to do it. You imagine yourself doing it and then being happy.
But suddenly a voice inside you tells you “what if…”. What if something goes wrong. What if something fails. What if you don’t end up achieving what you set out to achieve. What if…
The day you’ll stop listening to the voice inside you called “what if”, your odds of success would drastically improve.

The 10 BEST tips for achieving anything you want in life:
Stop resisting change. Change is part of our fast evolving world. Remember that nothing is more painful than staying stuck in the past.
Stop fearing failure. If you are not failing, you are not trying hard enough. Remember that there is no such thing as failure. The best lessons in life are learned through failure.
Stop pleasing everyone. Follow your own convictions, not what you are expected to follow. Remember that people-pleasing hides the real you.
Stop pampering yourself. Constantly push yourself out of your comfort zone. Remember that your comfort zone is your death zone.
Stop being distracted. We are the most distracted generation in history. Remember to feed your focus, not your distractions.

Stop relying on others. Many of us were raised by parents that made us believe that we can have everything we want just because we want it. Remember to stop expecting your parents or even your government to solve your problems.
Stop expecting instant satisfaction. Patience, persistence and perspiration are your best friends. Remember that there are NO shortcuts in life.
Stop relying on motivation to act. Focus on creating the daily habits that will lead to achieving your goals. Remember that we are what we repeatedly do.
Stop abusing your body. Eat healthy, and you will look healthy, feel healthy and think healthily. Remember that food is our fuel. Eat junk and you will feel like junk.
Stop surrounding yourself with negative people. People will inspire you or drain you. Remember that you can’t change people, but you can change the people that you surround yourself with.

A friend of mine has huge feet - sized UK 13.
A few years ago I was strolling through a high-end departmental store in Malaysia with him.
He saw a shoe he liked, asked for it in his size, tried it on, went to the cashier to pay with his credit card.
The odd thing was that the price wasn't written on the shoe, he hadn't asked the price, and he wasn't particularly wealthy - he was in the early stages of a startup.
I asked him, "Why didn't you even ask for the price of the shoe before buying?"
He explained, "Asim, the shoes could cost anything from US$200 to $1k, I liked them, and my shoe size is pretty difficult to find in Malaysia. If I spend 2 hours finding a shoe at the lowest end of that scale I'd save up to $800 but my 2 hours is worth way more than that to me."
The shoes ended up costing around $300.
This guy is now worth more than $10m.
Tip. Value your time.

What is success to you? How to be successful in life?
To some, when they think of success, they imagine wealth; others want power; some just want to make a positive impact on the world.
All of these are perfectly valid, indeed success is a concept that means different things to different people. Though no matter what success is to you, it almost certainly isn’t something will come easily.
There are countless guides and books to being successful, however, as success is personal and unique to each individual. The advice contained in these books can often not be relevant. Therefore following the advice of a single individual can often be unhelpful.
With this in mind, considering the advice of a great many people, people whose ideas of success were different both to each other, and quite possibly, to you can be a good alternative.

*Iceland* is a very small nation. It has a population of slightly over 300,000 people, fewer than many cities of India .
They forced a draw against Argentina, with *Lionel Messi* hitting 11 shots (including a penalty) but not getting a goal.
What is more interesting is that 5 of the players in the squad are *Medical doctors*. Everyone in the team has a professional job they do. The goalkeeper is a renowned country's Movie Director and others in different *respectable professions*.
Even the Coach when he is off the field is a *practicing Dentist*.
Work while you work, Play while you play. This is the way to be happy.

What are some things that you should do if you want to be successful?
Mike Massimino failed his PhD the first time. Failed the astronaut test the first three times. Failed to get the highest uation when he walked into space the first time. And almost destroyed the Hubble Telescope on the last attempt the US was going to make to fix it.
But he did it. He did it all.
Two things I noticed about him.
One thing is he kept saying things to me like, “I wasn’t the smartest in X but…”
He said that about his classmates. He said that about his neighbors. He said this about his fellow co-workers. He said this out in the middle of outer space. 350,000 miles away from home. He was still saying that.
Is this a good thing or a bad thing?
He got his PhD from MIT in “robot arms on Mars”. He went into space twice. He fixed the Hubble telescope
Clearly he was good enough. In fact, he is the best at everything he has ever done.
Humility without negativity (i.e. “I’m not good enough so I will give up.”) seems to be key. In other words:

Humility With Forward Action.
Second, he told me something very interesting.
In his lab at MIT there were ten other students.
Four of them became astronauts.
Do you know how hard it is to become an astronaut? Out of the 1000s of people who used to apply each year, less than 10 would get in. These 1000s who applied were DESPERATE to get in.
And they couldn’t.
And yet FOUR from his lab flew into outer space.
If he had been hanging out in a bar instead of a robotics lab, I doubt he could say, “Me and 3 of my friends went into space”.

Life and it’s outcomes are contagious. Be where and with who, you will inherit the greatest possibilities, the greatest encouragement, the greatest knowledge, the greatest joys and friendship
Those are the people and places that will propel you into outer space.
And by “outer space”, in this one case I am talking metaphorically. Be the person the people around you expect you to be.
I learned this from Mike because I was curious and I reached out to him and wanted to ask questions.
Learning something from the people you admire is really the point here. If you do it just once a day you’ll learn 365 incredible things a year.
This will make your life a dream. And you’ll dream of things you never knew existed.
Mike showing me how fast the space shuttle would cross our skyline:

What are some characteristics of successful people?
During my internship at Barclays Capital I was assigned to a team of 3 that took positions as big as the rest of the trading floor combined. It was the heavy weight dream team of 3 ex Goldman bankers. And me!
The team's head was Marc Ch (might be spelled wrong - I've not been able to find him on Google despite trying all spelling variations - it's like he's disappeared - I've wanted to meet him again just to say thanks for his positive influence).
Anyway, Marc was once giving me a lift on his way back home in his flashy sports car, and said, "Look, Asim, a lot of people say they will learn French, or lose weight, or they will read some book."
"The difference between most other people and me is that I don't do them tomorrow, I actually do them. Today."
He explained, "I'm tired right now, but I don't care. I'm going to drop you off, get home, and I will read at least a couple of chapters of [some finance book I can't recall]. I don't care how f***ing tired I am. I am going to get through a couple of chapters. Because I don't do things tomorrow. I do them today."
