I am a south Indian from the Tamil Nadu state. Comparatively Tamil Nadu state is more developed than most of the Indian states. Could you please make a video about the difference between south and North India. Tamil Nadu State is relatively clean and economically developed. Tamil Nadu is one of 28 states in India. Tamil Nadu having around 15% of all factories in India. Tamil Nadu may not be like China. But it has potential to become one.

You've been paying excess taxes to North India for 70 years. What has that gotten you? If your money is always going to support corrupt politicians and wasteful pet projects in the North, how do you expect to develop? Each state should keep 70-75% of its revenues for their own development. A simple thing like this can't be done in India.

Plz do a video on the rape in India, Indians try to normalize/deflect it by saying it's not so much when compared to per capita of other countries, yet the brutality of the rapes here are awful they are not able to accept that corruption in third world countries means that huge amounts of crime/rape go even more under-reported.

Every other trillion dollar economy developed their country and then focused on the economy, India neglected the people and saved all the money to reach a trillion dollars, that includes money that should have been used to develop the nation, if all countries do this there would be many other trillion dollar economies, but they value the people.

I lived in Germany in my youth, many years ago. Germany was a very clean country then and the population was a very homogeneous one. You would hardly ever see trash anywhere. I visited Germany several years ago and stayed for a few years before returning to my current country of residence. While there, I was shocked and dismayed at how things had changed. This change was due to the large influx of people from other parts of Europe, from the Middle East, from Africa, and from Asia in general who did not have the former German work ethic and sense of pride in one’s country and environment. I remember seeing trash left on a bench with a trash can just six feet away. I remember one day parking my car several hundred feet from a university building and by chance looking down when I got out of my car. I immediately saw cigarette butts. Not only there, but the whole length of my walk from my car to the campus building was covered with cigarette butts. I was horrified and dismayed—totally shocked that the Germany of my youth had become a garbage heap. These were not isolated scenarios but had very much become the new norm. This sort of behavior should never be acceptable.

Singapore has similar "violent" means before to address this same issue. The government and the authorities will fine you if you even drop litter be it some paper wraps or sweet wrap on the floor in public. You can get jailed if you drop litter from a high rise building (this is not only a cleanliness issue but also a safety issue). If you deface public property and even if you wrote graffiti on walls to deface it, not only you get fined BUT that may include caning to your bum. Even if you looked dirty (previous rulings) ie unkempt, long hair drooping over the forehead and so, you will be served LAST in any public office. That was a huge eye opener and when things improved dramatically, some of the very tough rules were slowly dissipated as it goes along. The authorities even banned dirty diesel oil boats/sampans to enter the Singapore river (at one time choking with rubbish), and obvious corporate fines that are huge that no companies or operators dare to commit such offense. A few operators had literally gone bankrupt from heavy fines. Talking about cleanliness in Singapore, over a decade, it had turned dirty, smelly, wretched places into beautiful areas.

I am surprised by most Indian feedback are "yep it is true", "yes I know and can't do anything about it", "please shame India by highlighting it" and "there isn't much we can do". I suspect the caste system is still very much alive in India. Cleaning the street, working with drains and handling human waste are for people pretty low in society system so normal Indians are reluctant to be identified with the lower class by cleaning the doorstep in front of their own properties! It is a phenomenon that I found only in India. The other is the religion that tells the Indians not to leave human waste inside their house but in the nature where it belongs. Finally the Indians seem to be "pretty relaxed" about their surrounding. I once took a walk in an Indian open park where it was obvious that it could do with some cleaning up. Then I ran into a group of possibly 10 to 12 cleaners sitting on the ground chatting and socializing with each other with their tools next to each other.

India economy will grow and become very large in the world, this does not mean quality of standard of living for those at the bottom. Quantity over Quality. Both India and China have exported wealthy, highly skilled people, a brain drain. They have also experienced the loss of labourers on fixed work visas. India has yet to figure out how to improve the education, health and welfare of its huge population of poor. China has to work out how to employ its many graduates and become more resilient when foreign manufacturers contracts end.

Without a massive revolution, that's just a dream. A summit was held weeks ago, and ministers and experts gave speeches about EV development and green India. They insist the Indian EV industry is just 5 years behind Tesla, and they have adopted all that fancy green tech, yet the AQI in ND breaks the record constantly.
@stchan8569
To grow from 3.25 trillion to 57 trillion in 2047, the annual compounded growth rate has to 13 % each year. That economist may be on hashish while writing the article.
When China opened up in 1978, India GDP per capita was slightly ahead of China by about $200. Presently, China GDP is about 4 times more than India.
One fallacy about democracy as India is the largest democractic nation on earth that it would brings prosperity to a nation. India got her independence in 1947 and China civil war ended in 1949, so by logic, India GDP should be far larger than China in 1978. However, China HDI according to UN was much higher than India in 1978.

You have no clue about the mindset of large majority of Indians. Being an Indian myself, it makes me MAD.
I just heard someone telling West needs India coz of large consumer market.
What market?
830 Million people are what in west are called food stamps.
people are running to whatever country they can--even where war is going on-eg Russia and Israel. Unemployment is so bad here.
Trade deficit with China is record high. West produces high end expensive products which only 1.5% Indians can buy.
Yet they never stop bragging about how India is large consumer market and how universities in West run coz Indians pay tuition fee. SMH! Like West was pauper before Indians found their nonexistent wealth.
