Your state Republican governments have been very busy passing anti-voting laws, and that coupled with your weird election system put another trump like idiot in your White House. And this time, since your Republican party has started embracing authoritarianism in place of democracy. It could very well be your last national election.

Europeans have not lost faith in the USA but they have lost faith in Republicans.´While that may sound partisan it’s accurate.
To be blunt: The last 2 GOP administration were assholes.
Boorish, arrogant, dishonest, mean, vindictive, selfish…and utterly incompetent.
That’s not to say the Europeans agreed with everything Clinton, Obama, and Biden did, but they are at least polite, well mannered, and likeable.
Republicans are assholes, so not surprisingly they are not liked in Europe.

I had a discussion on Quora with an American Veteran once. He was telling me how he made my life, here in Germany a lot safer by fighting in Iraq. This is not true at all. USA went to war in Iraq hoping to find weapons of mass destruction. What they actually found was dust. So many lifes lost for nothing. So USA with its wars is making our lives less safe.
There is also the fact that most disinformation starts there. Climate change disinformation, Covid disinformation, etc. even flat earth started there.
Than of course, there is capitalism. We look at how extreme it got there and we really hope it doesn’t get here. You guys are scared of socialism, but we are terrified of your capitalism.

The latest fiasco of electing the blatant racist and sexual abuser Trump unfit for any position, just showed that you have yet to overcome your dark tendencies.

You don’t allow your citizens real choice in how and by whom they should be governed - instead giving them just two options - invariably both supporting the status quo. If anybody makes any suggestions around policies that would benefit the regular citizen ahead of the wealthy elite. you have brainwashed vast swathes of citizens to angrily denounce such notions as Marxist, communist, socialist with great disdain, demonstrating clearly that they have not the foggiest idea what any of those words even mean.

You are run by big business, by lobbying and by corruption. No country is exempt from this but you just bring to a totally different level. Almost 50% of voters deemed one of the most famously corrupt, cheating, lying, self-serving, delusional, mysogynistic, racist and morally bankrupt people on the planet to be an appropriate leader. First time round it was somewhat understandable that you might take a punt on someone hopefully representing a change from the status quo. After he had spent 4 years demonstrating that he represented everything that was worst about the status quo, but bringing it to new levels and represented nothing that was reasonably good about the status quo … after he had clearly demonstrated that his idea of “draining the swamp” was to become the biggest swamp rat of all - even more people and almost as big a proportion of voters decided that his behaviour, his essence was appropriate to lead the wealthiest nation on earth.
How can anyone expect us to take the US seriously? I mean we have to in the context of their wealth and their military might … but in terms of leadership, intelligence, morality, how can we possibly have any respect?

Apart from the incredibly corrupt and unrepresentative political system and the sickening brainwashing, I think that the main issue is the educational system. I mean you allow crazy people to teach creationism as fact to children in your schools. What hope is there really?

As a Southern white male in his 70's, I am part of a demographic that has experienced dramatic changes in society. I have been forced to acknowledge that many of the social norms that I grew up with were hurtful to women and minorities, and that I needed to adjust my values and my preconceived opinions. I try now to judge people on their character rather than those traits they have no control over.

These Capitalists have attempted to overthrow Democracy several times in our history, and their efforts continue. The constant attempts to distort democracy through gerrymandering and campaign influence through monetary interference. The constant attacks on labor unxs and the middle class. The continued use of race and misogyny to divide the nation. The gross inequities of our tax system. A healthcare system that literally has become a national embarrassment. Fox News spreading knowingly false and distorted information and destroying the integrity of our election system.

I could go on, but it would not matter. Until “We the People” understand that unrestricted capitalism is the true enemy of our nation along with fanatical evangelicalism, we will never be able to reverse the trend that is now coarsing through the veins of this nation. This is a bountiful nation, but we cannot allow less than 1% of the population control over 50% of its wealth. True followers of Christ must stand up to the fanatics who are distorting the teachings of Christ. Donald Trump is NOT the second coming of the Messiah. He is a sick narcissist who has been corrupted by the almighty dollar. Hitler at least believed in the German people. All Trump believes in is himself.
I am embarrassed by what we have allowed the Republican Party do to our nation. I no longer feel the same patriotism that was so prent for much of my life. I am thankful that I am old and probably will not have to witness the total destruction of our democracy. I have seen enough.

In the popular of imagination of Poles, the USA had long been the promised land where streets are made of gold.
Then, six things came that killed the American charm:

The collapse of the USSR and communism - the USA was no longer the counterbalance to the "evil empire". There was no longer a lovely cowboy Ronnie trying to save the Poles from the Brezhnievozombie.
EU membership - people realised that there is a developed world outside of North America.
The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan - suddenly, the "empire of democracy" was fighting for its "liberty" by invading the liberty of some far-away places and using our soldiers to do it.
The internet and a wider flow of information - in 1985, the average Pole knew the USA only from the tales and parcels of their relatives living there. They were sent $20 and some chocolate, and in a country where confectionery was strictly rationed, it seemed like the Americans were living in unthinkable opulence. Footages of homelessness in American cities had already been shown on television - but who wouldn't dismiss that as "communist propaganda" back then? Then, the internet came, and people realised that their "millionaire American uncles" are in fact window cleaners on the minimum wage, the reality of healthcare bankruptcies, mass shootings, rampant obesity, diplomatic failures in the Middle East and so on.

The lingering influence of Polish-Americans on Polish politics. While playing model and cool Americans straight out of Hollywood in front of their relatives in Poland, the moment they return to the USA, they turn into ultra-nationalistic, ultra-religious bigots who find the liberalism of the American society repulsive and talk about a "patriotic, Catholic Poland" to which they refuse to return. They get to vote in Polish elections, and accordingly, vote for right-wing parties. And the same is largely true for Polish-Canadians. If you go on some far-right Polish-language conspiracy theory site, you can usually be certain that the administrators reside in North America. They import the worst Polish habits to the USA, and the worst American habits to Poland.
Trumpism, among liberal and left-leaning people - though this didn't have as much of an effect in the right-wing Poland as it had elsewhere in Europe.
Atlanticism is still, of course, popular with many Poles. If only one superpower could exist in the world, we would feel safer under US hegemony than under Russian hegemony.
