I mean, it should go without saying, but in a country of 1.4 billion, you’d be hardpressed to find all 1.4 billion eating the exact same food in the exact same way - there’s going to be a fair bit of variety.
I can’t remember the last time I ate ice-cream - I think it was maybe in 2019? - but yes, I can confirm that I’ve used chopsticks to eat ice-cream.
In my nuclear family, my dad is the only one with a sweet tooth, so he’s the only one who eats ice-cream on a regular basis - I think he has ice-cream like once every 3–4 weeks?
Compared to say, myself, where the last ice-cream I had was probably back in 2019.
But I’ve never seen my dad use chopsticks to eat ice-cream - he prefers his ice-cream on a stick or on top of a cone.
Like me, my sister uses chopsticks with ice-cream as well.
There’s really nothing difficult about using chopsticks to eat ice-cream.
As long as the ice-cream hasn’t melted, you’re good to go.

But going back to chopsticks, I’ve eaten all sorts of things using them, when I don’t feel like getting my hands dirty, greasy, or sticky. For example, I sometimes eat pizza, chips, and fruit using chopsticks just so I don’t have to touch my fingers to anything.
