I'll never understand why visitors choose to go to scummy locations in India, like literally why are you in a slum?? As an Indian, i would absolutely never recommend people to visiting these locations, because even I wouldn't. Go to the good parts of Jaipur, visit Bangalore and Mumbai. All of that is good and so much better for your safety.

I live in India, as a foreigner and this is a common experience... You look different, so people will be curious... and look. They're looking for mere seconds, which is why she's making it slow motion. The difference is, she's interpreting the stares as compliments, or admiration. Which... I guess helps her self esteem, and that is essentially what she said she flew there for... so. I guess it makes sense for her.

I have literally said this so many times and I will say it again, as someone who has spent 15+ years living in India, I know that it is a beautiful country and I have seen these 'influencers' who come from foreign countries and they just go to slums and poverty stricken areas and start filming. They PURPOSELY Film the bad areas to get more views and it's disgusting.. India has the largest population in the world, and while there are slums, there are also technological miracles, in so so many cities like Jaipur, Bengaluru, Delhi etc. I hate it when people do this.

more than 200 years of the British teaching the Indians that white people are superior to them vanished right when India became an independent nation. I have also seen many foreigners in India, but it's not as if I stared at them; many people like me have changed since we are educated. But there are still many people in India who are backward and uncivilized, so yeah, we do have a problem with that, but stop generalizing the nation and hating it for its content and its views. The people who stared at her without any bad intention are just like the people in the West who stare at Indian women wearing bindis or Indians wearing their traditional clothes. My mum is Indian, and when we went to Brazil in the mid 2000s on a holiday, all of the tourists were marveling at the beautiful sights, but all of the locals were marveling at my mum as they'd never seen anyone in a saree before!! Some even asked for a pictures. It was quite funny! My mum loved it! ;)

I have been traveling to India periodically since 1996, almost 30 years! Back in the 90s tourists from other countries were barely seen in India. A few here and there, but very rare. Now tons of foreigners travel to India on a daily basis from all over the world. But still people can't and don't want to understand Indian culture, societal constructs, and general way of living. I have been from the Himalayas down to Kaniyakumari. And many times people come to me to talk and take pictures mostly out of curiosity. They want to know what you are doing in their homeland, what is the purpose of your trip, etc. Yes, sometimes men can be annoying in India. But a straight face with a NO is sufficient. I love India, I love its people and the beautiful cultural kaleidoscope that one can experience in such an old civilization. Her mind is already in the wrong place, that's why she sees everything through that faulty mirror.

My longest trip to India was 5 weeks. Best believe I adhere to cultural norms for dressing modestly. Of course people stare at me because I am the only blonde person there. Even me(indian) wearing that clothes in the mandi/bazaar and poorer parts is gonna attract stares. Many don't even judge... they just acknowledge something alien in that area and leave it.

I have literally said this so many times and I will say it again, as someone who has spent 15+ years living in India, I know that it is a beautiful country and I have seen these 'influencers' who come from foreign countries and they just go to slums and poverty stricken areas and start filming. They PURPOSELY Film the bad areas to get more views and it's disgusting.. India has the largest population in the world, and while there are slums, there are also technological miracles, in so so many cities like Jaipur, Bengaluru, Delhi etc. I hate it when people do this.

These people deliberately go to poor areas and slum areas and then they say that India is dirty or unsafe. It's like deliberately going into area which has gang violence and then saying that I experienced violence or that I was robbed.

more than 200 years of the British teaching the Indians that white people are superior to them vanished right when India became an independent nation. I have also seen many foreigners in India, but it's not as if I stared at them; many people like me have changed since we are educated. But there are still many people in India who are backward and uncivilized, so yeah, we do have a problem with that, but stop generalizing the nation and hating it for its content and its views. The people who stared at her without any bad intention are just like the people in the West who stare at Indian women wearing bindis or Indians wearing their traditional clothes. So just stop with hating and being a hypocrite.

My mum is Indian, and when we went to Brazil in the mid 2000s on a holiday, all of the tourists were marveling at the beautiful sights, but all of the locals were marveling at my mum as they'd never seen anyone in a saree before!! Some even asked for a pictures. It was quite funny! My mum loved it! ;)

I have been traveling to India periodically since 1996, almost 30 years! Back in the 90s tourists from other countries were barely seen in India. A few here and there, but very rare. Now tons of foreigners travel to India on a daily basis from all over the world. But still people can't and don't want to understand Indian culture, societal constructs, and general way of living. I have been from the Himalayas down to Kaniyakumari. And many times people come to me to talk and take pictures mostly out of curiosity. They want to know what you are doing in their homeland, what is the purpose of your trip, etc. Yes, sometimes men can be annoying in India. But a straight face with a NO is sufficient. I love India, I love its people and the beautiful cultural kaleidoscope that one can experience in such an old civilization. Her mind is already in the wrong place, that's why she sees everything through that faulty mirror.

My longest trip to India was 5 weeks. Best believe I adhere to cultural norms for dressing modestly. Of course people stare at me because I am the only blonde person there. I just keep it moving and mind my business. I can’t imagine going through the trouble of filming people staring at me. So shallow and petty.

I have never come across her content as we dont have tiktok in India. But based on the video, the clothes she was wearing is not inappropriate. Alot of indian women dress like that in their day to day life in India(white top and skirt).
