Yes, but only if they have not showered recently ( like if they showered and came to work no different smell. By evening though or next day ( because some only showers once every 48 hours ) it becomes evident. Then you can tell they pong different.

I would like to add as well that for anyone who says "I don't have body odor", the gene that many East Asians have is one that stops you from having armpit odor. It does not mean that your groin doesn't still smell like it hasn't seen a washcloth in years.

Yes, you're correct. The body doesn't really have an odor but acids + lipids feed bacteria on the skin. Also dead, shedding skin cells are eaten up by bacteria.

Most of white people I meet in daily life don’t really smell, I assume most of them use deodorant. The racial group I find has the strongest BO is South Asians. I’m not sure why most of them, especially men, don’t use deodorant, instead most use strong perfume, which just makes it even worse. This is just my personal experience living in Canada.

Yes Indians, but also some people from Pakistan and Bangladesh. Cause I sometimes take uber and most of the time the drivers are either from India or Pakistan or Bangladesh, and sometimes when I go to Walmart and walk by a brown guy staff who has a strong BO, but i can’t really say for sure he’s India, that’s why I said South Asian.

This is just my personal anecdote but when I started cooking with a lot of cumin and turmeric and was also ordering a bunch of Indian takeout I started to notice a similar odor when I sweated during my workouts as I’ve noticed from some south Asian people. I don’t find it offensive so much as pungent if you’re not familiar with the spices used in their cooking.

What’s funny to me is that the men tend to smell better than women.

As a white guy, I discovered that black people have quite distinct odour. Asians seems to have less intense odour in general. Apparently it works opposite way. Black people may find white people odour to be different, and Asian people may find it too intense.

I’m a white, British. White smell is real and comes from the dairy as others have said. If I eat a lot of cumin some of that comes out in my sweat too. If I ate it every day I’d smell S Asian. The closest thing to an E Asian smell would be green tea breath, which is in my opinion worse than coffee breath. E Asians are also generally less sweaty.

IMO French, Germans and Russians have very strong odour. Black person has a strong odour, but is is different odour from white. South Asians veery strong and smell too. However, it is curious that are mostly men, but women can have it much less strong.

As a white guy, I discovered that black people have quite distinct odour. Asians seems to have less intense odour in general. Apparently it works opposite way. Black people may find white people odour to be different, and Asian people may find it too intense.

I’m a white, British. White smell is real and comes from the dairy as others have said. If I eat a lot of cumin some of that comes out in my sweat too. If I ate it every day I’d smell S Asian. The closest thing to an E Asian smell would be green tea breath, which is in my opinion worse than coffee breath. E Asians are also generally less sweaty.

IMO French, Germans and Russians have very strong odour. Black person has a strong odour, but is is different odour from white. South Asians veery strong and smell too. However, it is curious that are mostly men, but women can have it much less strong.
