@CTHN7
@kostaskonstantinidis7318 Human rights and democracy are old standby when U.S. (regime change champion) runs out of excuse. 1) Use misinformation & disinformation propaganda to stir up internal tension and create conflict. 2) When targeted govt takes action to shut the propaganda down then accuse it of suppressing free speech or violating human right thus anti democracy. 3) Sanction the target country to cause economic suffering to the people so they overthrow the govt. Copy, paste and repeat with any other country that doesn’t do what U.S. dictates it to do to serve U.S. interest.

Western media outlets spreading fake news have recently been touting a US invasion of Iran that would trigger an oil crisis in China. However, they fail to mention that oil only accounts for 18% of China's energy mix. China is the world's largest producer of wind, solar, and hydropower, ranking first without exception. China's clean energy generation is more than double that of the second-ranked country.
@Ryan1104Eric
China has been working towards energy diversification for many years, and its approach is completely different from that of the United States, which has consistently sought global oil hegemony and seized other countries' oil resources. China pursues peaceful development and is happy to engage in peaceful trade with all countries, from Israel to Iran.

@kangkim150
Electricity moves at near speed of light so if you have a population center in the east and solar power 2 or 3 time zones away in the west you can have few extra hours of solar power in the east without storage while power usage ramps down throughout the night. Not many countries out there are wide enough to have this advantage tho.

@beyondfossil
@nafeesimtiaz9707 It is not as high as others explained. Want to know what system loses a lot during transmission? It's pumping physical material through pipelines that requires massive amounts of energy. Pumping matter never wins over electricity, even when both systems are optimized.

AWESOME to see this!! The whole world will soon run on 100% solar, wind, hydro and small nuclear power, + BESS, with solar making up 80% of all power. The oil wars of today and yesterday will be in the history books, along with their evil relics who started and supported them.

Apart from minor set up and maintenance costs, the inflow of solar and wind energy is free! Stop relying on burning fossil fuels, it’s going to run out one day. Also, if a country generates its own energy it won’t have to rely on others in case of supply problems and geopolitics.

@henglee3127
Excellent idea. However, the current cost of flexible solar panels is still too high, and China has vast deserts, making it uneconomical from a construction cost perspective.
@NashvilleAustralia
450GW of solar and wind is the equivalent of 9GW of coal or nuclear. Without 4 times the power capacity in battery storage it's useless for constant generation without conventional power stations.
@briandonovan9091
China is predicting peak coal soon, most of the rest of the world already has. installing new solar and wind are cheaper than maintaining coal energy. China is is following the science and logic and going renewable fast. The big deserts are expensive with the transmission costs, the cleaning is cheap, it's Romhba for solar. Chinese folks are also installing rooftop solar and home batteries which does not requires more transmission, it reduces it. Got to admit the scale of the desert solar and wind is exciting.

Many ways. Used panels are way too valuable to just throw away. The aluminum frx is very easily separated and can be melted down conventionally and reused. The cells have metals like silver and copper. Glass can be recycled. These recycling processes can all be powered by—you guessed it—more solar! ☀
@chow-chihuang4903
@beyondfossil Used panels typically function just fine, just at a lower output than originally. If you gave them away, somebody will take used PV panels that yield 70-90% of their original capacity. Even if they no longer produce, as you said, their materials are valuable enough they will be recycled.

The development of AI has now given China a robust garbage recycling system, to the point where there's a shortage of garbage, and even competition for it has emerged. In the past, people had to pay waste disposal companies to handle garbage, but now garbage has become a hot commodity, with waste disposal companies instead paying to purchase it. Landfills once buried deep underground have all been dug up, and former waste disposal sites have now been transformed back into green spaces.

China’s debt issue isn’t just about the headline numbers — it’s about structure. Much of the debt sits with local governments and property developers, tied to infrastructure and real estate. The real question isn’t whether China has debt, but whether growth and restructuring can outpace the risks over time.

@kangkim150
Electricity moves at near speed of light so if you have a population center in the east and solar power 2 or 3 time zones away in the west you can have few extra hours of solar power in the east without storage while power usage ramps down throughout the night. Not many countries out there are wide enough to have this advantage tho.

450GW of solar and wind is the equivalent of 9GW of coal or nuclear. Without 4 times the power capacity in battery storage it's useless for constant generation without conventional power stations.
@briandonovan9091

@chow-chihuang4903
