Its rare that he gets something wrong, but the Russian aircraft that were destroyed out in the open was not Russian incompetence. As part of the START treaty ALL US and Russian strategic aircraft (any aircraft that can deliver a nuke) MUST be visible for verification purposes. Trump tore up all the agreements and refused to comply with them and let them expire, but the Russians unilaterally declared that they would comply with existing treaties until such time as these treaties were renewed, which was supposed to happen sometime this year.

it makes sense the stratotangers are hot targets, they are the key to all these jets landing bombs in iran, if they can get the refullers out then that really prevents the bombing runs. And they are much easier to hit on the ground than jets. It's possible to get the jets airborne before a missle barrage on an airbase. but much much harder to get 8 stratotankers airborne.
I think in the future the doctrine for airbases woul be to have 10+ runaways. each valuable aircaft on the runway, ready to go airborne so they can all similtaneously fly out before an attack.

it makes sense the stratotangers are hot targets, they are the key to all these jets landing bombs in iran, if they can get the refullers out then that really prevents the bombing runs. And they are much easier to hit on the ground than jets. It's possible to get the jets airborne before a missle barrage on an airbase. but much much harder to get 8 stratotankers airborne.
I think in the future the doctrine for airbases woul be to have 10+ runaways. each valuable aircaft on the runway, ready to go airborne so they can all similtaneously fly out before an attack.

As you may recall the first F-35 to get shot by ennemy fire was the first export send to Israel. It got shot on its second mission over Syria allegedly by a BUK. Then the day after that Israel asked for a newer version of the F-15 which became the F-15EX.
So this F-35 shot down you see in this video is the first you can see in video.
