Serious question. Is not covering the nose more dangerous for the person doing it, or the people around them? Like, if someone is just walking around, talking, etc with their nose not covered how likely are they to spread the virus, as opposed to someone not wearing a mask at all?

If only USA was this serious about COVID! I was in Big Lots just the other day and all of the employees had their masks hanging down from their nose like it was no big deal. People here just don't care, no wonder we have the most and worst COVID cases to date. It's a crying shame.

Companies don't want to let people work from home, so everyone has been commuting to work like normal. It's not surprisingly to me that they're unwilling to change the way they test students.

If anything, in Japan's youth and older people it seems to be laziness: they don't want to be inconvenienced by the extra effort of wearing it properly.
Most of the time they could get away with not wearing it properly too, since as long as it's on your face people don't bother you even if it's wrongly put on.

我不认为在日本戴口罩是羞耻的，这里的人们已经戴了很多年口罩了。
如果说日本的年轻人和老年人有什么不同的话，那就是懒惰：他们不希望因为正确佩戴口罩而带来额外的不便。
大多数情况下，他们也可以不用正确地佩戴口罩，因为只要它在你的脸上，即使佩戴方式是错误的，人们不会打扰你。
