@lunar ebony if someone were to walk up to you and say “quick, where is Ecuador on a map?” You would have no time to google. Or use Wikipedia. People are calling them idiots because they couldn’t answer that question on the spot. Not fair. Especially when people can tend to go blank in the mind when asked questions in front of a camera. They aren’t an embarrassment. I guarantee they probably know where a country is located that you don’t.

Well at least 1 person got it. Though I'm not surprised so many people failed. I'm American and when I was in school they barely taught geography and even less history about South Korea. The Korean War was mentioned briefly and that's about it.

South Korea wasn’t something we studied much in geography. I would have had a difficult time finding it before listening to Kpop. We have a lot to learn about Asia. It wasn’t taught a lot in our schools. But there were other things that were. We knew more about Japan, so I wonder if more people would know where Japan is vs Korea? This question might be easy for you and hard for others just like a question might be hard for you that would be easy for others. Have grace for people. And not all Americans are idiots. C’mon. Quit generalizing.
