Great Britain — UK is fond of Indian Curry. Brits think of India as this exotic place you need to visit at least once in your lifetime. But they still think their Passport is readily allowed in India and that India recognizes their Knighthood and the Queen. As for the economy, IT sector, Bollywood they fondly believe what they see on the TV but are open for more information.

Swiss / French / Germans / Dutch — They are not smitten by Indian Curry but they don’t hate it. Germans and Dutch love Sanskrit. They love Yoga. They think thousand’s of years ago the European Caucasian races invaded as Aryans into India and populated the land so India is their creation. They do not know what Indus Valley and the ancient culture of 3 great rivers (Saraswati, Ganga, Indus) is. Economy wise they know India is doing fine but still believe they supply Automobiles to India. When I told them India has its own Pharmaceutical and Automobile industry they were shocked. French Swiss want to visit India. Germans / Dutch thought they can but their is no eagerness.

Singaporeans Malay - They love Indian Curry and add lot of raw turmeric and Galangal (instead of indian ginger) and make it their own. Those Malay who are Muslims, would play Indian songs on their weddings even though they may not know the meaning of the song is. They would prefer if the songs have words like Allah, Masha Allah, Subhan Allah. Those who watch Hindi movies, love Shahrukh Khan and those who watch Tamil movies like Rajnikanth. But Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham is their national film (even shown on their national TV many times).

Singaporean Chinese - They have adjusted to Indian Curry but mostly love prata (non veg paratha). They believe Indians are stingy, don’t follow rules and spit everywhere. But they also believe Indians are hard working (more than a fellow chinese!) and they want to be friends with an Indian family (because their child will learn to talk in English as Indians speak English fluently) and learn quick Maths (as Chinese traditional Math tricks are not very British so their kids get confused to what parent want to teach and what is taught in the schools). They only know SRK but not so much Rajnikanth.

Hong Kong Cantonese Chinese - They don’t give a damn abut Indian Curry. But they would occasionally eat tandoori chicken. Those who are politically “informed” they believe Tibet, Nepal, Arunachal Pradesh are their territories and Pakistan is a victim. They know Rajnikanth but haven’t watched his movies. They think India is one of the most unsafe places to visit with bomb blasts, rapes and robberies happening everywhere. Although it is the Indians who are settled in HK have created this image in their mind. Some think Indian Masal Chai should only be drank if you have a sore throat!

That Indians are good at math, and to a lot of extent this is true. Our school system does a lot of things differently than other countries around the world, and one of them is training our brains to be faster at calculations.

That India is not a safe place for female tourists. Sadly, I do not really blame them for this. Rapists in our country spare no one - be it a child, an unmarried lady, a married woman with kids, or a senior citizen. Most countries warn their citizens to be careful in their tourist-advisory articles about India.

That Indians have a very rich cultural heritage. Everybody knows that we are one of the handful of civilizations that have been in existence for over 2000 years. We have a rich cultural background and a lot of historical monuments, and people around the world are well aware of this fact. This is the reason we still see plenty of tourists despite the fact that they are told it could be unsafe for them.

Poverty: Inspite of all such development there are still many people living in poverty in India.India social sector needs to develop like economic.Quality of health, education and good environment is still lagging in India.

I dont really honestly think of India very much since the nation is at peace unlike countries like syria. Now I find a certain level of anger towards the nation. No offense to any Indians here but why do you guys need so many kids. The Indian birthrate isnt as high as it used to be (5 kids) but it's still to high at 3 kids. The country has a very high rate of incone inequality. It seems to crowded for my taste but I hate crowded societies. On the positive note I think the nation is getting better. People aren't having as many kids and as a result female literacy is going up. It has a facisnating culture. Overall I'd say it isn't my cup of tea but that's mostly because of overpopulation.

I dont really honestly think of India very much since the nation is at peace unlike countries like syria. Now I find a certain level of anger towards the nation. No offense to any Indians here but why do you guys need so many kids. The Indian birthrate isnt as high as it used to be (5 kids) but it's still to high at 3 kids. The country has a very high rate of incone inequality. It seems to crowded for my taste but I hate crowded societies. On the positive note I think the nation is getting better. People aren't having as many kids and as a result female literacy is going up. It has a facisnating culture. Overall I'd say it isn't my cup of tea but that's mostly because of overpopulation.
