However.......we have a small population of boomers here who ended up homeless due to divorce, death of a spouse, illness (their out-of-pocket costs that insurance wouldn't cover bankrupted them), or soaring rents. My city is not appealing in the slightest and yet a studio apartment (one room with everything in it and then a tiny bathroom) costs between $800 to $1,000 per month. Ants live longer than grasshoppers; in life one must consider the worst that can happen and have a plan should all else fail. Not having free access to potable water, shelter, and food should scare anyone into getting a good education, make a lot of money, and be supportive of others and their community. It's a shame but in our electronically , AI driven world demands far more intellect than in the past. What we are witnessing is people who have marginalized for a wide range of reasons. We must prepare and make a better effort to accommodate and try to get these folks back into the rat race and stand in line like others and do it with a smile.

I see it time and time again someone in their 70s working because they're 30 or 40 year old adult child is still living at home using them to pay rent by food Etc it's really a sad situation. And definitely the illegals being taken care of before our own citizens should be crossed right off the list for any benefits whatsoever.
