South Africa's foreign Minister Ronald Lamola has told DW that it is obvious the United State is trying to bully the country, after US president Donald Trump issued an executive order cutting aid to the African state.
The Trump administration cut aid to South Africa amid controversy over a new policy that would allow the government to seize land for use in public projects. The administration also extended refugee status to the Afrikaner group - a white minority grouping. Lamola said he believed racism was behind the move.

The govt is targeting a specific ethnic group for systematic confiscation of their property. The govt has a blood and soil ideology toward land reform. Politics in SA have shifted from restitution to retribution!

The expropriation bill actually refers to undeveloped land which includes abandoned buildings... It makes no reference of minorities... And the first refers is a fair payment and also makes provision for no- payment after all process has been followed, including tracing the owner...
